The Market place is the biggest Polish Market, with
400 to 500 vendors. More than 14 million Germans
per year go to shop there. However, new markets are
needed for selling their farm products. Products:
crops - 50% grains: wheat, rye, buckwheat, barley,
and oats; 13% potatoes, sugar beets, fodder crops,
flax, hops, tobacco, fruits and corn.
Der Markt ist gegenwärtig mit 400 bis 500 Händlern
der größte „Polenmarkt”. Pro Jahr gehen mehr als 14
Millionen Deutsche dort einkaufen. Dennoch besteht
Bedarf an neuen Märkten, auf denen Produkte aus
Bäuerlicher Landwirtschaft (Weizen, Roggen,
Buchweizen, Gerste und Hafer, Kartoffeln,
Zuckerrüben, Flachs, Hopfen, Tabak, Früchte und
Mais) verkauft werden können.
Noch relativ viele Bauern in Polen nutzen nach wie
vor Pferde zur Feldarbeit auf kleinen Höfen mit
Mischkulturen und einer durchschnittlichen
Bearbeitungsfläche von 2 bis 4 ha. Die Kleinteiligkeit
der Höfe spiegelt sich oft noch in der Landschaft
durch viele kleine Felder, die zum Teil von Hecken
begrenzt werden, wieder. Insgesamt gibt es ca. 2,5
Millionen Bauernhöfe bis zu 10 ha, die durch
extensive Feld- und Viehwirtschaft geprägt sind, z.T.
der Selbstversorgung dienen und durch eine ländliche
Infrastruktur mit Getreidemühlen und Schlachthäusern ergänzt werden. 60% der Fläche Polens
werden für die Feldwirtschaft genutzt, dazu kommen
noch Flächen für Weiden und Gartenbau.
In Poland, many farmers still use horses to cultivate
the soil, in small, mixed –crop farms, averaging in
size from 2 to 4 ha. The small scale of the farms is
reflected in the landscape and in many small fields
partitioned by hedges. The small private farms, approximately 2.5 million and with an extension up to
10 ha, mixed livestock and crops and self-sustaining, with an infrastructure as flourmills and slaughter-horses. The mixed type of farming is because of
the weather conditions, fruit, raised cows, beef, cattle, pig, poultry; 60% of the country’s total area is for
crop cultivation, the rest is for orchards and meadows and pastors
The organic farming is spread all over the country at
intervals of 30 to 80 km approximately. Focus in
methods of fertilizing or crop protection. The tourist
can travel from farm to farm by car, public transportation, bicycle or foot, and can spend their time hiking, walking, cycling, swimming or horseback, riding or helping in the farm. There are support centers
providing information and training in organic farming.
The goal is to strength, preserve and improve the
elements that exist there, the Neisse River, Border
Bridge, entry to Poland and market place, and the
entrance to Germany in Bad Muskau Square, and
connect them with the farming area, and the agricultural fields.

Öko-Höfe sollen in Abständen von 30 bis 80 km
über das ganze Land verteilt werden. Der Schwerpunkt liegt in der Züchtung und Erhaltung alter
Nutzpflanzen. Touristen können mit dem Auto,
öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder dem Fahrrad von
Hof zu Hof reisen und ihre Zeit Wandern, Radfahren,
Schwimmen und Reiten verbringen oder auf den
Höfen mitarbeiten. Es sollen Zentren zu Unterstützung und Ausbildung von Öko-Landwirten
eingerichtet werden.
Ziel soll sein, die bestehenden Elemente, die Grenzbrücke, das Neisse-Tal, den Markt als Eingang nach
Polen und den Platz als Eingang nach Deutschland
zu erhalten, stärken und mit dem Landwirtschaftlich
geprägten Hinterland zu verbinden.
400-500 handlarzy sprawia, że jest to w tej chwili
największy „polski targ”. Rocznie udaje się tam na
zakupy ponad 14 milionów Niemców. Ale istnieje
zapotrzebowanie na targi z produktami rolnymi
(pszenica, żyto, kasza gryczana, jęczmień i owies,
ziemniaki, buraki cukrowe, len, konopia, tytoń, owoce
i kukurydza).
W Polsce jeszcze stosunkowo wielu rolników na
niewielkich gospodarstwach o przeciętnej powierzchni 2-4 ha ziemi i mieszanej uprawie i
posługuje się jak dawniej końmi. Odzwierciedla się
to w krajobrazie wielu niewielkich pól, oddzielonych
rzędami krzewów. Łącznie w Polsce istnieje ok. 2,5
miliona gospodarstw rolnych o powierzchni do 10
ha, charakteryzujących się ekstensywną uprawą i
hodowlą, częściowo na własne potrzeby. Przynależy
do nich wiejska infrastruktura – młyny zbożowe i
rzeźnie. 60% powierzchni Polski wykorzystuje się
pod uprawy, do tego dochodzą jeszcze łąki i ogrody.
Na obszarze całego kraju, w odległości 30-80 km,
winny powstawać gospodarstwa ekologiczne z
zachowawczą, tradycyjną uprawą roślin. Turyści
mogliby podróżować samochodami, publicznymi
środkami transportu czy też rowerami od gospodarstwa do gospodarstwa, spędzając czas na
wędrówkach, wycieczkach rowerowych, pływaniu i
jeździe konno bądź też biorąc udział w pracach
rolniczych. Istnieją już ośrodki pomocy i kształcenia
dla ekologicznych gospodarzy.
Chodzi o zachowanie oraz umocnienie istniejących
elementów, takich jak most graniczny, dolina Nysy,
przedsionek Polski w postaci targu czy przedsionek
Niemiec w postaci placu, a także połączenie ich z
rolniczymi terenami kraju.
