Letnie Igrzyska Olimpijskie 2012 w Londynie
W związku ze zbliżającymi się Letnimi Igrzyskami Olimpijskim w Londynie, uczniowie Zespołu
Szkól Ponadgimnazjalnych nr 1 oraz Gimnazjum nr 3 w Malborku zostali zaproszeni przez
Comprehensive Secondary School in Bristol, do uczestnictwa w projekcie edukacyjnym,
mającym na celu zbliżenie dwóch kultur, Brytyjskiej i Polskiej, w dniach poprzedzających
Igrzyska.
Oto fragment listu Alexis Scourfield – opiekuna grupy Brytyjskiej:
I am a teacher in comprehensive secondary school on the outskirts of Bristol in the South
West of the country. In the run up to London 2012 Olympics we are looking at the Olympic and
Paralympic values. Each tutor group is supporting a different country and finding out as much as
possible about that country, my tutor group is supporting Poland.
I wondered if it would be possible to link with a class or group of students in your school to share
information about our schools? We are not looking for any particular information, we would just like
to get to know a little about life for students in Poland and share with you similar information about
ourselves.
My tutor group is called S1 and is made up of 20 students between 11 and 16 years old, we meet
together once a day.
If you feel that you have a group of students who would like to make a link with us then let me know
and S1ASC will start putting together some information, photos etc. of our school and tutor group
here in Keynsham to share with your students.
Uczniowie oby dwóch szkół wykazali bardzo duże zainteresowanie uczestnictwem w tym
projekcie. Przygotowali kilkanaście pytań do swoich Brytyjskich kolegów. Pytanie te
dotyczyły ich szkoły, miasta, wakacji, zainteresowań, muzyki itd.
Uczeń klasy 3C – Piotr Ratusznik postanowił zapytać swoich rówieśników z Wielkiej
Brytanii o:
1. Your city is famous for concerts. What bands will be on stage in the near future?
2. What is the most imposing building or monument in your city?
3. What does the idiom “cash on the nail” mean?
4. What is Clfton Suspension Bridge widely known for?
5. Is your zoo worth seeing? Are there any unique creatures?
6. Which university is better? A redbrick or the University of the West of England?
7. Who are the most famous residents of your city?
8. Why should we see Bristol?
9. Is your city changing?
10. Why over 1,7 % of Bristol’s residents are Jedi knights?
W odpowiedzi została nam przesłana prezentacja uczniów z Keynsham, którą można
zobaczyć tutaj.
Prezentujemy również pracę naszych uczniów: Mikołaja Dominieckiego, Aleksandry
Kulińskiej, Paweła Łabowicza, Katarzyny Machalskiej, Natalii Laprus oraz Weroniki
Wichowskiej, która jest odpowiedzią na pytania młodzieży z Wielkiej Brytanii.
