Dzisiejsze czytania mszalne zachęcają nas do 7:00 pm In Polish– Rosary
naśladowania Pana Boga i oddania Mu całego naszego followed by Mass
życia. św. Paweł Apostoł w Liście do Rzymian nawołuje:
„Proszę was, bracia, przez miłosierdzie Boże, abyście dali
ciała swoje na ofiarę żywą, świętą, Bogu przyjemną, jako
wyraz waszej rozumnej służby Bożej”. Tę jego gorącą
prośbę dopełnia Jezusowe wezwanie, które odczytujemy
ze stron Ewangelii według św. Mateusza: „Jeśli kto chce
pójść za Mną, niech się zaprze samego siebie, niech
weźmie krzyż swój i niech Mnie naśladuje”.
Wspólnota Kościoła jest zgromadzeniem zwołanych
przez samego Pana Boga (grec. „ekkaleo”, od którego
pochodzi słowo „ekklesia”, czyli „kościół”). Właśnie w tej
wspólnocie wspieramy się wzajemnie w naśladowaniu
Chrystusa.
Dlatego też wspólnie uczestnicząc w Eucharystii,
szczególnie tej niedzielnej, dajemy żywe świadectwo
naszej wiary, które potem przekłada się na nasze
powszednie życie.

DOING GOD’S WILL
The language of Jeremiah as he addresses his
yearnings to God—he says, “You duped me, O LORD,
and I let myself be duped” (Jeremiah 20:7)—indicates a
close and personal relationship with God. It is one the
prophet obviously cherishes despite the derision and reproach it brings him. In the Gospel, Jesus indicates a
similar bond with his Father. In spite of the difficult challenges presented by following God’s will, Jesus is not deterred. Giving up our own worldly cares and dreams, even
as we accept pain and suffering, is more than a fair exchange for doing the will of God.
The only way to do God’s will is offer our whole
selves to God. As St. Paul writes in the Letter to the Romans: “Do not conform yourselves to this age but be
transformed by the renewal of your mind” (Romans
12:2a).

September 11: Patriot Day
9/11: Saint Rosalie Church Remembers
911. For years, those numbers simply meant a call for help.
Now they also remind us of September 11, 2001, the date of
the worst terrorist attack on the United States of America
and one of the deadliest days ever on American soil.
To mark the anniversary of 9/11 in 2014, we will gathered at St Rosalie at 7:00 pm
for the Holy Mass.

bountiful church.

We are collecting donations for flowers in the month of
August. Please kindly place your donations in the wooden
box in the back of the church. Thank you!
Parish Council is sponsoring our Annual St. Rosalie Feast
Day and Picnic on September 14th. All interested in volunteering their time and
talent are asked to please call the office.
Religious Education registration is now in progress. Registration forms are available in the vestibule and in the Parish Office.
We are still looking for dedicated teachers for the 2014/2015 school year. If you
are interested in making a difference please contact our office.
St. Rosalie Cooks, "Our Families Favorite Dishes" is the title of our Parish Cookbook.
Please submit your family's favorite recipes in English and in the origin of your
heritage. Two recipes per family please.
St Rosalie is interested in purchasing a multimedia projector for our religious
Education program and Parish use. Envelopes are available in the vestibule for
your generous donation or please call Maria in the office.
