With the global expenditure in tens of billions of dollars per annum, nanotechnology is faced with
both great expectations and commerciallization challenges. In my talk, I will strive to illustrate the
competitive landscape of modern nanotech and outline the major opportunities for commercializing
basic nanotechnological discoveries. Examples of specific technologies will illustrate differences
between the US and the EU/Polish markets and the strategies to transform fundamental discoveries
into household nanotech products.
