Erected around 1742 for the Bieliński family, after the design by Józef Fontana, the palace has been owned by the Zamoyski family since 1799. Redeveloped 1897–1914 by Konstanty Zamoyski, it has preserved its original Second-Empire-style décor from the late 19th and early years of 20th century. The Chapel: Built in 1903–1909, this chapel was designed after the royal chapel of the Versailles – with its stuccoworks, the colonnade, the altar and the organ front copied from the model. The Gardens: Next to the palace is an French garden and a pheasantry. The garden has preserved its original layout till today. Socialist-Realist Art Gallery The northern pavilion (formerly, the Coach-house) is home to Poland’s only Socialist-Realist Art Gallery – a project unknown to any other European country. This very unique display is a politicaldidactic-artistic venture as it warns, through its carefully selected exhibits, against any manifestations of art controlled by totalitarian authorities. On display are the most interesting works out of the Museum-stored great collection of art of the period 1950–1955, with more than 1,600 sculptures, paintings, drawings, prints and posters. The Gallery offers you an opportunity to watch Polish Film Chronicles from 1950s. The Palace in Kozłówka took honorable first place on the list of "7 New Wonders of the Poland" and won the plebiscite "Poland is the coolest" organized by National Geographic Traveler magazine.
