We would like to ask everybody wishing to attend the
ION 2006 Conference to complete the attached
registration card and return it to the Conference
Secretariat not later than January 31, 2006.

The diversity is a great advantage of the Conference
since it offers the unique opportunity to stimulate open
discussion and exchange of experience and ideas
between researchers. Therefore we would like to invite
physicists, materials scientists, engineers, and other
specialists to take part in the Conference.
The fee is 1300 PLN (350 EUR for foregin
participants), single room accomodation, and 1100
PLN (300 EUR) for double rooms. Student and
accompanying persons rate is 750 PLN (200 EUR).
Payments must be free of bank charges to the
organizers. After May 31, 2006 the fees will be 10%
higher.
The Conference fee covers board and lodging, a book
of abstracts, coffee breaks and the extensive social
programme consisting of a conference party,
a barbecue and sightseeing tours.

The following topics are covered by the Conference:
The ION 2006 Conference will be held at the “Dom
Dziennikarza” hotel in Kazimierz Dolny, a beautiful
and historical little town on the Vistula river, 120 km
from Warsaw. The hotel, which is the accomodation
place for most of the participants, is situated within
a walking distance from the town’s center. Full board,
including breakfasts, lunches and evening meals will
be served at the hotel restaurant.

The Conference will review the current state of
knowledge in the field of ion and electron interaction
with solids. It will give the opportunity to present
interesting results and new trends in the application of
ions for the investigation of solid surface layers and
modification of their physical and chemical properties.

International Conference “Ion Implantation and Other
Applications of Ions and Electrons”, ION 2006. The
Conference will be held in Kazimierz Dolny, Poland,
from June 26 to June 29, 2006.

The scientific program of the Conference is being
prepared in consultation with the International
Scientific Committee. In addition to the invited talks,
contributions for 15 minutes oral presentation will be
selected from the submitted abstracts. Remaining
contributions will be presented in poster sessions. The
Proceedings of the Conference, containing papers
accepted by referees, will be published as a special
issue of the VACUUM journal.
