NIEDZIELA ŚWIETEJ RODZINY SUNDAY OF THE HOLY FAMILY
Warto zadumać się na chwilę i porównać nasze rodziny z Rodziną
Jezusa, Maryi i Józefa. Warto zrobić rodzinny rachunek sumienia.
Może dzisiejsze niedzielno-świąteczne popołudnie będzie do tego
dobrą okazją? Może mniej będzie rozwodów, nieszczęść i problemów
w rodzinach jeśli wzorcem dla rodzinnego życia nie będą głupiutkie
filmiki, którymi bezmyślnie zalewa nas telewizja, ale właśnie Święta
Rodzina? Jan Paweł II był człowiekiem, który uczył prawd wiary i
wielokrotnie przybliżał Boże przykazanie „Nie zabijaj”, „Czcij ojca i
matkę swoją...” Jednocześnie troszczył się o to, aby każdy człowiek
mógł być temu przykazaniu posłuszny, gdyż zawsze nas uczył, że
rodzina to sanktuarium życia... Mówiąc o miłości, która ma być piękna,
a więc święta, można wyróżnić wiele poziomów. Mam na myśli
problem obrony dziecka jako owocu miłości. Oczywiście, pojęcie
„owocu miłości” prowadzi do samej miłości. Ojciec Święty ukazywał
człowieka jako dziecko Boże, owoc Bożej miłości, stworzony niejako z
nadmiaru tej miłości, aby w niej mógł uczestniczyć. Ludzie stawiają
sobie pytanie: „Kim jest człowiek i skąd pochodzi?”. Dla Ojca
Świętego odpowiedź była oczywista. Człowiek pochodzi od Boga. Bo
to, co odróżnia człowieka od reszty tego świata, to właśnie duch —
dusza ludzka. Jan Paweł II nazywa ją „człowiekiem
wewnętrznym”.Człowiek stworzony z miłości i dla miłości,
obdarowany bezinteresownym darem istnienia i życia biologicznego na
ziemi, żyje niejako w dwóch płaszczyznach: duchowej i cielesnej.
Zarówno duch, jak i ciało stworzone przez Boga noszą w sobie Boże
podobieństwo. Fakt, że życie pochodzi od Boga, stanowi o jego
wartości, jego świętości i o jego nienaruszalności. Jan Paweł II
powiedział na Katolickim Uniwersytecie Lubelskim: „Nie każda nauka
jest prawdziwa i nie każda prawda jest naukowa”. Prawda o wartości
życia ludzkiego opiera się na osobistym doświadczeniu każdego
człowieka. Cud stwarzania powtarza się w każdym nowym dziecku.
Oto pozornie proste zdarzenie: rodzi się
człowiek. Zdumiewający proces! Eksplozja
życia z jednej komórki! Iskra życia,
przechodząca z pokolenia na pokolenie. A
każda osoba odmienna, niepowtarzalna!
Skarb! Zatem pielęgnujmy te skarby w
naszych rodzinach...
Today God presents the Holy Family as
a treasure. Jesus and Mary and Joseph
were not only holy themselves; they help
us to be holy. WE do not have to act,
dress, and work like the Holy Family,
but we can do these things and
everything in their spirit. For instance,
they had the spirit of love---love of God,
which means the desire to please God,
and love of neighbor, and the members
of our own family. They tried to please
God by going to God’s temple and worshipping together, as we read
in the Gospel. Every one of us can be like them in that way. They
knew their faith, namely, what God had told them in His Holy Word.
We can please God by learning all we can about what He has told us.
The Holy Family tried to do good to one another and their neighbors.
We admit that family life today is much more difficult than ever, but
this spirit of helpfulness to one another is all the more necessary.
The world is troubled. Our nation is troubled. Pro-choice persons
want to have a choice to get rid of those who are neither in the world
yet, or those who have been in the world too long. The cure is:
strengthen the family, build up the family, improve the life of the
family. Put new spirit into this basic unit of our society. Where can
we get this Spirit? Of course, from the example of the Holy Family.
Indeed, your home is a treasure. There you will find all the
worthwhile things of life, the truly valuable things. In fact, your
home is so sacred that it could be
called your sanctuary. To make it
sacred and to keep it sacred we need
inspiration, we need superhuman help.
Ask Jesus, Mary and Joseph to help all
of us make our families pleasing to
God and concerned about our
neighbors. So that, the peace of Christ
may rule in our hearts and the fullness
of His message of love will live within
each of us.

Meetings are held every first and third Friday of the month
from 7 till 9 pm at the Shrine.

under the direction of our organist Hubert.
Our Lady needs you and your voice.
No experience necessary, just the will to learn.
The choir sing the 11: 00 AM Mass the 1st and 3rd Sunday of
the month in the Main Church.

schedule for Adoration of the
Blessed Sacrament, at least three
people have to be assigned to every
hour of adoration. Please show your
support to perpetual Eucharistic
Adoration at this Holy and beautiful
Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa
by signing up today. The times for
Eucharistic Adoration are: Monday
thru Saturday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM.
This call is for everyone but most especially for homeschoolers
and people who are retired and have a more flexible schedule.
