PROCEDURA CZYSZCZENIA KOMINA PO PIASKOWANIU PROCEDURE FOR THE CLEANING DUE TO BLAST STEEL SAND Do przygotowania kominów stalowych przed malowaniem używa się piasku. Zaatakowany obszar należy oczyścić w sposób następujący: • 30% roztwór kwasu chlorowodorowego nałożyć bez pomocy pędzla • kwas solny - musi pozostać w kontakcie z czyszczoną powierzchnią od 5 do 10 min. • wypłukać kwas solny wodą Jeżeli przebarwienie się nadal utrzymuje, należy czynności powtórzyć. For the sandblasting of the steel stack prior to the painting steel sand is used. It cannot be avoided, that the steel sand gets into cracks and hollow spaces, even if all openings are carefully covered. After the erection of the stack steel sand may fall down especially from the top and from the flue gas inlets, and it will therefore be necessary to remove the steel sand immediately after the erection of the stack. The steel sand will normally be on the base plate, on the reinforcement frames etc. and can easily be removed by means of a brush or a cloth. Steel sand may also appear later on, e.g. when connecting the flue gas channels to the stack. Therefore the stack has to be inspected at regular intervals and eventual steel sand has to be removed. If the steel sand settles on e.g. the base plate and/or the frame, this can result in severe discoloration. The attacked area therefore has to be cleaned, e.g. in the following way: • a hydrochloric acid solution 30% is applied be means of a brush. • the hydrochloric acid solution has to sit 5 – 10 minutes. • washing off the hydrochloric acid solution by means of pure water If there are still discolorations after the cleaning, the above cleaning procedure has to be repeated.
