REGULAMIN
konkursu „R Competition”
I.
DEFINICJE
Ilekroć w niniejszym regulaminie jest mowa o:
1.1. „Jury” – należy przez to rozumieć pięcioosobową komisję, o której mowa w pkt. 4.3.;
1.2. „Konkursie” – należy przez to rozumieć konkurs „R Competition” opisany w niniejszym
Regulaminie;
1.3. „Organizatorze” – należy przez to rozumieć fundację Instytut Nauk Informatycznych
i Matematycznych z zastosowaniem w Ekonomii z siedzibą w Krakowie (adres: ul. Cystersów
13A, 31-553 Kraków), wpisaną do Krajowego Rejestru Sądowego prowadzonego przez Sąd
Rejonowy dla Krakowa-Śródmieścia w Krakowie (Wydział XI Gospodarczy Krajowego Rejestru
Sądowego) pod numerem KRS 0000512595 we współpracy z firmą Do-IT Solutions Ltd, Ty Derw,
Lime Tree Court, Cardiff Business Park, Cardiff, CF23 8AB, UK, Numer Rejestracyjny firmy:
04769294.
1.4. „Regulaminie” – należy przez to rozumieć niniejszym regulamin;
1.5. „Stronie Konkursowej” – należy przez to rozumieć stronę internetową dostępną pod adresem:
http://doitprofiler.com/rkrakow;
1.6. „Uczestniku” – należy przez to rozumieć uczestnika Konkursu;
1.7. „Zespole” – należy przez to rozumieć zespół składający się z maksymalnie trzech Uczestników.
Dopuszczalne jest także zgłaszanie Zespołów jednoosobowych;
1.8. „Zadaniu Konkursowym” – należy przez to rozumieć zadanie z zakresu analizy danych dostępne
poprzez Stronę Konkursową;
1.9. „Zwycięzcy” – należy przez to rozumieć Zespół, który nabył prawo do jednej z nagród opisanych
w pkt. 5.1.
II.
POSTANOWIENIA OGÓLNE
2.1. Niniejszy Regulamin określa wszystkie zasady uczestnictwa w Konkursie.
2.2. Organizatorem Konkursu jest fundacja Instytut Nauk Informatycznych i Matematycznych z
zastosowaniem w Ekonomii z siedzibą w Krakowie (adres: ul. Cystersów 13A, 31-553 Kraków),
wpisaną do Krajowego Rejestru Sądowego prowadzonego przez Sąd Rejonowy dla KrakowaŚródmieścia w Krakowie (Wydział XI Gospodarczy Krajowego Rejestru Sądowego) pod
numerem KRS 0000512595 we współpracy z firmą Do-IT Solutions Ltd, Ty Derw, Lime Tree
Court, Cardiff Business Park, Cardiff, CF23 8AB, UK, Numer Rejestracyjny firmy: 04769294.
2.3. Udział w Konkursie ma charakter dobrowolny, przy czym rozpoczęcie udziału w Konkursie
oznacza, że dany Uczestnik zapoznał się z treścią Regulaminu i ją akceptuje, jak również iż
potwierdza, że spełnia wszystkie warunki, które uprawniają go do udziału w Konkursie.
2.4. Konkurs rozpoczyna się w dniu 1 lipca 2016 roku o godzinie 18:00 i kończy się w dniu 21
sierpnia 2016 roku o godzinie 23:59.
2.5. Regulamin jest dostępny na Stronie Konkursowej.
III.
WARUNKI I ZASADY UCZESTNICTWA W KONKURSIE
3.1. Uczestnikiem Konkursu może być wyłącznie pełnoletnia (w chwili złożenia zgłoszenia, o którym
mowa w pkt. 3.3.) osoba fizyczna, posiadająca pełną zdolność do czynności prawnych, która
jest współautorem zgłaszanego przez nią do Konkursu rozwiązania Zadania Konkursowego.
3.2. W Konkursie nie mogą brać udziału pracownicy Organizatora i inne osoby współpracujące
z Organizatorem przy organizacji Konkursu.
3.3. Aby wziąć udział w konkursie należy zarejestrować się poprzez formularz internetowy
dostępny poprzez Stronę Konkursową. W procesie rejestracji wymagane jest podanie nazwy
Zespołu. Rejestracja dostępna jest od dnia 1 lipca 2016 od godziny 18:00 i trwa do dnia
zakończenia Konkursu, tj. 26 sierpnia 2016 do godziny 23:59
3.4. Konkurs składa się z trzech niezależnych etapów, które polegają na rozwiązaniu przez Zespoły
Zadań Konkursowych.
3.5. Aby ukończyć jeden z etapów konkursu, Zespół jest zobowiązany do przesłania rozwiązania
Zadania Konkursowego na adres e-mail [email protected], zachowując terminy z punktu
3.7. Nie ma obowiązku ukończenia przez Zespół wszystkich trzech etapów.
3.6. Jedynym akceptowalnym narzędziem wykorzystanym do wygenerowania rozwiązania Zadania
Konkursowego jest R (inne narzędzia mogą być wykorzystane do oczyszczenia oraz obróbki
danych, ale powinno to zostać wyraźnie zaznaczone w opisie rozwiązania). W przypadku, gdy
zbiór danych zostanie zmodyfikowany, powinien on zostać przesłany wraz z rozwiązaniem
Zadania Konkursowego.
3.7. Harmonogram poszczególnych etapów Konkursu:
3.1.1.
Etap pierwszy rozpoczyna się 1 lipca 2016 roku o godzinie 18:00 poprzez
udostępnienie Uczestnikom wstępnych informacji na temat Zadania Konkursowego.
W dniu 8 lipca 2016 o godzinie 18:00 zostaną udostępnione Uczestnikom dane,
niezbędne do wykonania Zadania Konkursowego. Termin przesyłania rozwiązań
Zadania Konkursowego przez Zespół mija 24 lipca o godzinie 23:59.
3.1.2.
Etap drugi rozpoczyna się 15 lipca 2016 roku o godzinie 18:00 poprzez
udostępnienie Uczestnikom wstępnych informacji na temat Zadania Konkursowego.
W dniu 22 lipca 2016 o godzinie 18:00 zostaną udostępnione Uczestnikom dane,
niezbędne do wykonania Zadania Konkursowego. Termin przesyłania rozwiązań
Zadania Konkursowego przez Zespół mija 7 sierpnia o godzinie 23:59.
3.1.3.
Etap trzeci rozpoczyna się 29 lipca 2016 roku o godzinie 18:00 poprzez
udostępnienie Uczestnikom wstępnych informacji na temat Zadania Konkursowego.
W dniu 5 sierpnia 2016 o godzinie 18:00 zostaną udostępnione Uczestnikom dane,
niezbędne do wykonania Zadania Konkursowego. Termin przesyłania rozwiązań
Zadania Konkursowego przez Zespół mija 21 sierpnia o godzinie 23:59.
3.8.
Organizator nie zwraca zgłoszonych do Konkursu rozwiązań Zadania Konkursowego.
3.9.
Rozpoczynając udział w Konkursie Uczestnik oświadcza, że jest współautorem zgłoszonego
przez Zespół do Konkursu rozwiązania Zadania Konkursowego oraz wyraża zgodę na publiczne
jego udostępnienie i wykorzystanie.
IV.
ROZSTRZYGNIĘCIE KONKURSU
4.1.
Konkurs polega na możliwie najlepszym rozwiązaniu Zadania Konkursowego dla każdego
etapu osobno, oraz uzyskaniu sumarycznie najlepszego wyniku za trzy etapy łącznie.
4.2.
Każdy z etapów będzie oceniany zgodnie ze specjalnie dostosowanym do danego etapu
wzorem (zwanym również metryką). Za rozwiązanie Zadania Konkursowego każdy z Zespołów
może otrzymać od 0 do 20 punktów. Zespół, który uzyskał największą liczbę punktów za dany
etap (maksymalnie 20), wygrywa go. Zespół, którego sumaryczna liczba punktów za trzy etapy
będzie najwyższa (maksymalnie 60), wygrywa cały Konkurs.
4.3.
W przypadku, gdy dwa Zespoły (lub więcej) uzyskają taką samą liczbę punktów, o wygranej
rozstrzyga Jury (tylko w przypadku wątpliwości co do uzyskania pierwszego miejsca). Każdy z
członków Jury może dodatkowo przyznać Zespołom od 0 do 5 punktów w obrębie trzech
kategorii (maksymalnie 15 punktów liczone tylko na poczet dogrywki): Annotation (czystość i
jakość kodu), Explanation (dokumentacja kodu) oraz Novetly (unikalność oraz kreatywność
zaproponowanych rozwiązań). Zwycięzcą etapu zostaje drużyna, która uzyska większą liczbę
punktów od Jury.
4.4.
Ogólne opisy składowych wzorów o których mowa w pkt 4.2 będą publikowane w postaci
załączników do Regulaminu wraz z udostępnieniem zadań dla poszczególnych etapów, zgodnie
z harmonogramem o którym mowa w pkt. 3.7. Szczegółowe wzory zostaną opublikowane w
dniu rozwiązania Konkursu, tj. w dniu ogłoszenia wyników Konkursu.
4.5.
Wyniki Konkursu zostaną ogłoszone w ciągu 7 dni od zakończenia konkursu na Stronie
Konkursowej.
V.
5.1.
NAGRODY
Nagrodami w Konkursie są:
5.1.1. Nagroda dla Zespołu za zwycięstwo w pierwszym etapie Konkursu w wysokości 500
PLN (pięćset złotych)
5.1.2. Nagroda dla Zespołu za zwycięstwo w drugim etapie Konkursu w wysokości 500 PLN
(pięćset złotych)
5.1.3. Nagroda dla Zespołu za zwycięstwo w trzecim etapie Konkursu w wysokości 500 PLN
(pięćset złotych)
5.1.4. Nagroda dla Zespołu za najlepszy wynik za wszystkie trzy etapy Konkursu w
wysokości 500 PLN (pięćset złotych)
5.2.
Nagrody niepieniężne nie podlegają zamianie na ich równowartość pieniężną.
5.3.
Zwycięzcom nie przysługuje prawo do wyboru nagrody i zastrzeżenia szczególnych właściwości
nagrody.
5.4.
Zwycięzcy zostaną powiadomieni o wygranej e-mailem lub telefonicznie w terminie 30
(trzydziestu) dni od daty ogłoszenia wyników Konkursu.
5.5.
Szczegółowe miejsca oraz terminy wydania poszczególnych nagród zostaną wybrane przez
Zwycięzcę spośród co najmniej dwóch alternatyw zaproponowanych mu przez Organizatora
po rozstrzygnięciu Konkursu.
VI.
ODWOŁANIA
6.1.
Wszelkie odwołania dotyczące Konkursu Uczestnicy powinni składać w formie pisemnej, nie
później niż w terminie 30 (trzydziestu) dni od dnia rozwiązania Konkursu, tj. od dnia ogłoszenia
wyników Konkursu, na wskazany w pkt. 1.3. adres Organizatora. Odwołanie należy wysłać
listem poleconym, przy czym dla zachowania terminu wskazanego w zdaniu poprzednim
decydujące znaczenie ma data nadania pisma zawierającego odwołanie.
6.2.
Pisemne odwołanie powinno zawierać: imię, nazwisko, dokładny adres i numer telefonu,
jak również dokładny opis i uzasadnienie odwołania.
6.3.
Odwołania rozpatrywane będą przez komisję reklamacyjną powołaną przez Organizatora.
Komisja odwoławcza rozpatrywać będzie odwołania uczestników na podstawie Regulaminu i
obowiązujących przepisów.
6.4.
Komisja odwoławcza rozpatrzy odwołania w terminie 14 dni od dnia jej doręczenia.
6.5.
Osoba zgłaszająca odwołanie otrzyma decyzję komisji odwoławczej na piśmie na adres podany
przez uczestnika w odwołaniu.
VII.
OCHRONA DANYCH OSOBOWYCH
7.1.
Poprzez wzięcie udziału w Konkursie Uczestnik wyraża zgodę na przetwarzanie jego danych
osobowych w rozumieniu ustawy z dnia 29 sierpnia 1997 roku o ochronie danych osobowych
(tekst jedn. Dz.U. z 2002 roku, nr 101, poz. 926 z późn.zm.) przez Organizatora w celach
związanych z przeprowadzaniem Konkursu, w szczególności wyłanianiem zwycięzców
i przyznawaniem nagród, wydawaniem, odbiorem i rozliczaniem nagród. Uczestnik w każdym
czasie może cofnąć wyrażoną zgodę. Cofnięcie zgody jest równoznaczne z rezygnacją
Uczestnika z udziału w Konkursie.
7.2.
Administratorem danych osobowych Uczestników jest Organizator.
7.3.
Dane osobowe Uczestników przetwarzane będą przez Organizatora zgodnie z przepisami
ustawy z dnia 29 sierpnia 1997 roku o ochronie danych osobowych (tekst jedn. Dz.U. z 2002
roku, nr 101, poz. 926 z późn.zm.). Dane osobowe Uczestników przetwarzane będą w celach
związanych z przeprowadzaniem Konkursu, w szczególności wyłanianiem Zwycięzców
i przyznawaniem nagród oraz wydawaniem, odbiorem i rozliczaniem nagród.
7.4.
Zbieranie danych osobowych odbywa się na zasadzie pełnej dobrowolności, jednak podanie
danych osobowych stanowi warunek uczestnictwa Konkursie. Uczestnicy przyjmują
do wiadomości, że niepodanie danych osobowych (lub podanie fałszywych danych
osobowych) może spowodować wykluczenie z Konkursu lub wstrzymanie wydania nagrody do
czasu udzielenia danych osobowych i potwierdzają, że nie będą podnosili z tego tytułu
żadnych roszczeń.
VIII.
POSTANOWIENIA KOŃCOWE
8.1.
Treść Regulaminu (oraz ewentualne informacje o zmianach w Regulaminie) będzie
udostępniona wszystkim potencjalnym Uczestnikom na Stronie Konkursowej.
8.2.
Organizator zastrzega sobie prawo zmiany niniejszego Regulaminu w trakcie trwania
Konkursu. W przypadku zmiany Regulaminu Organizator poinformuje Uczestników o zmianie
poprzez zamieszczenie stosownej informacji na Stronie Konkursowej lub przesłanie informacji
pocztą elektroniczną do Uczestników.
8.3.
Organizator zastrzega sobie prawo podania do wiadomości publicznej informacji dotyczących
przebiegu i wyników Konkursu.
8.4.
Powołane w treści Regulaminu bez bliższego oznaczenia numery punktów (pkt) oznaczają
odpowiednie jednostki redakcyjne Regulaminu.
8.5.
Załączniki stanowią integralną część Regulaminu.
8.6.
Niniejszy Regulamin podlega prawu polskiemu.
Regulations of the "R Competition"
I. DEFINITIONS
Any reference in these regulations refers to:
1.1. "Jury" - should be understood as a five-committee referred to in point. 4.3 .;
1.2. "Competition" - should be understood as a contest "R Competition" described in these Rules;
1.3. "Organizer" - should be understood as the foundation Institute of Information Sciences and
Mathematics using in Economics based in Krakow (address: ul. Cistercian 13A, 31-553 Kraków),

1.4. "Rules" - it should be understood the present regulations;
1.5. "Competition Website" - shall mean the website available at: http://doitprofiler.com/rkrakow;
1.6. "Participant" - should be understood as the Competition participant;
1.7. "Complex" - should be understood as a team of up to three participants. It is also permissible to
report Ensembles single;
1.8. "Task Contest" - should be understood as a task for the analysis of data available through the
Site Competition;
1.9. "Winners" - must be understood as the team that acquired the right to one of the prizes
described in point. 5.1.
II. GENERAL PROVISIONS
2.1. The Regulations define all the rules for participation in the Contest.
2.2. Competition is organized by the Foundation Institute of Information Sciences and Mathematics
using in Economics based in Krakow (address: ul. Cistercian 13A, 31-553 Kraków), entered into the
National Court Register kept by the District Court for Kraków-Śródmieście (XI Commercial Division
national Court Register) under the number KRS 0000512595 in collaboration with Do-IT Solutions
Ltd, Ty Derw, Lime Tree Court, Cardiff Business Park, Cardiff, CF23 8AB, UK, company Registration
number: 04769294.
2.3. Participation in the Competition is voluntary, with the start of the Competition means that the
participant has read the Regulations and accepts it, and that it confirms that it meets all the
conditions that entitle them to participate in the Contest.
2.4. The competition begins on 1 July 2016 by 18:00 and ends on August 21, 2016 by 23:59.
2.5. Regulations are available on the Website Competition.
III. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST
3.1. Contest participant can only be of legal age (at the time of the notification referred to in point.
3.3.) A natural person with full legal capacity, which is co-author reported it to the Competition
Competition Tasks solution.
3.2. The Competition is not open to employees of the Organizer and other persons cooperating with
the Organiser in the organization of the competition.
3.3. To participate in the contest must register via the online form available through the Site
Contest. The registration process requires the name of the Team. Registration is available from the
date of July 1, 2016 starting at 18:00 and lasts until the end of the competition, ie. 26 August 2016

3.4. The competition consists of three separate stages, which rely on the termination of the Task
Teams of Competitive.
3.5. To complete one of the stages of the competition, the team is obliged to send solutions Tasks
Competition e-mail [email protected], keeping the terms of clause 3.7. There is no obligation to
complete the assembly of all three phases.
3.6. The only acceptable tool deployed to generate resolve tasks of the Competition Jury is R (other
tools can be used for cleaning and processing of data, but this should be clearly stated in the
description of solution). If the data set is modified, it should be sent together with the solution of
tasks of the Competition Jury.
3.7. The schedule of individual stages of the competition:
3.1.1. The first stage begins on July 1, 2016 by 18:00 by providing Participants preliminary
information on the tasks of the Competition Jury. On July 8, 2016 at 18:00 will be available
to participants the data necessary to perform tasks of the Competition Jury. The deadline for
solutions Tasks Competition by team passes on July 24 at 23:59.
3.1.2. The second stage begins on July 15, 2016 by 18:00 by providing Participants
preliminary information on the tasks of the Competition Jury. On July 22, 2016 at 18:00 will
be available to participants the data necessary to perform tasks of the Competition Jury. The
deadline for solutions Tasks Competition by team passes on August 7 at 23:59.
3.1.3. The third stage starts on 29 July 2016 by 18:00 by providing Participants preliminary
information on the tasks of the Competition Jury. On August 5, 2016 at 18:00 will be
available to participants the data necessary to perform tasks of the Competition Jury. The
deadline for solutions Tasks Competition by team passes August 21 at 23:59.
3.8. The organizer does not return the Competition Tasks solutions submitted for Competition.
3.9. Starting the Contest Participant declares that he/she is co-author reported by the Team
Competition solutions Tasks Competition and agrees to its public facilities and use.
IV. SETTLEMENT OF COMPETITION
4.1. The competition is based on the best possible solution Tasks Competition for each stage
separately, and obtaining the best result in total for the three phases together.
4.2. Each of the stages will be assessed in accordance with the specially adapted for the stage by
formula (also called metric). Competition for the solution of tasks, each of Bands can get from 0 to
20 points. The team that received the highest number of points for a given stage (maximum 20),
wins it. The band, whose total number of points for the three stages will be the highest (up to 60),
wins the contest.
4.3. If the two teams (or more) will receive the same number of points for winning a decision of the
Jury (only in case of doubt as to obtain the first place). Each member of the jury may also award
Teams from 0 to 5 points within the three categories (up to 15 points only counted towards
overtime): Annotation (purity and quality of the code) Explanation (code documentation) and
Novelty (uniqueness and creativity of the proposed solutions). Stage winner is the team that obtains
more points from the jury.
4.4. General descriptions of the components of models referred to in paragraph 4.2 will be published
as annexes to the Rules, together with the provision of tasks for individual stages, according to the
timetable referred to in point. 3.7. Detailed designs will be posted on the Contest solutions, ie. On
the day of announcement of the results of the contest.
4.5. Contest results will be announced within 7 days of the end of the contest on the Site Contest.
V. AWARDS
5.1. The prizes in the competition are:
5.1.1. The prize for the team for winning the first stage of the competition in the amount of PLN 500
(five hundred)
5.1.2. The prize for the team for victory in the second stage of the competition in the amount of PLN
500 (five hundred)
5.1.3. The prize for the team for winning the third stage of the competition in the amount of PLN 500
(five hundred)
5.1.4. The prize for the team for the best result for all three stages of the competition in the amount
of PLN 500 (five hundred)
5.2. Non-cash prizes can not be exchanged for their cash equivalent.
5.3. The winners do not have the right to choose the prize and reservations special properties prize.
5.4. Winners will be notified about winning e-mail or phone within 30 (thirty) days from the date of
announcement of the results of the competition.
5.5. Detailed location and dates of the respective awards will be selected by the winner from among
at least two alternatives proposed to him by the organizer after the adjudication of the Competition.
VI. APPEALS
6.1. Any appeals relating to the Contest participants should be submitted in writing no later than
thirty (30) days from the date of termination of the competition, ie. From the date of announcement
of the results of the Competition for in point. 1.3. Organizer's address. The appeal must be sent by
registered mail, which for the sake of the deadline specified in the preceding sentence is crucial date
of posting the letter of appeal.
6.2. The written appeal should contain: name, surname, address and telephone number, as well as a
detailed description and justification of the appeal.
6.3. Appeals will be considered by the committee appointed by the Organizer complaint. The Board
of Appeal will consider appeals of participants under the Rules and applicable regulations.
6.4. The Board of Appeal will consider the appeal within 14 days of its receipt.
6.5. The person submitting the appeal will receive the decision of the Appeals Committee in writing
to the address given by the participant in the appeal.
VII. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
7.1. By participating in the Contest, the Entrant agrees to the processing of personal data within the
meaning of the Act of 29 August 1997 on the Protection of Personal Data (consolidated text. Journal
of Laws of 2002, No. 101, item. 926, as amended) Organizer for the purposes of carrying out the
competition, in particular the emergence of winners and awards, publishing, reception and
settlement awards. Participant may at any time withdraw the expressed consent. Withdrawal of
consent is tantamount to resignation from participation in the Contest.
7.2. The administrator of personal data Participants are organized.
7.3. Participants personal data will be processed by the Organizer in accordance with the provisions
of the Act of 29 August 1997 on the protection of personal data (consolidated text. Journal of Laws
of 2002, No. 101, item. 926, as amended). Participants personal data will be processed for the
purposes of carrying out the competition, in particular the emergence of winners and awards and
the issuance, acceptance and settlement awards.
7.4. The collection of personal data is done on a voluntary basis, but provide personal data is a
prerequisite for participation Contest. Participants acknowledge that failure to personal data (or
providing false personal information) may result in exclusion from the competition or suspend the
prize pending the award of personal data and confirm that it will not be raised in this respect any
claims.
VIII. FINAL PROVISIONS
8.1. The Regulations (and any information about changes in the Regulations) will be made available
to all potential participants on the Site Contest.
8.2. The organizer reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions during the Competition.
In the case of amendments to the Rules Organizer will inform participants about the change by
putting relevant information on the Website of the Contest or send information by e-mail to
participants.
8.3. The organizer reserves the right to make public information concerning the course and outcome
of the contest.
8.4. Established in the Rules and Regulations without further marking point numbers (points) are the
respective editorial units Regulations.
8.5. Annexes form an integral part of the Regulations.
8.6. These Regulations shall be subject to Polish law.
