prefacja o Najśw. Trójcy.
W przypowieści o faryzeuszu i celniku Pan Jezus uczy nas, jaka powinna być postawa człowieka wobec Boga.
Zadowolenie z siebie połączone z krytyką innych — to przejawy pychy. Pokory nie nabywa się przez porównywanie siebie z
innymi ludźmi, których nie potrafimy zresztą sprawiedliwie ocenić, lecz przez rozważanie naszej zależności od Boga.
Człowiek świadomy swoich grzechów i żałujący za nie może liczyć na miłosierdzie Boże (antyfony na wejście, na
ofiarowanie, na komunię). Natomiast kto się wywyższa, będzie poniżony.

Kiedy wołałem do Pana, wysłuchał głosu mego przeciw
tym, którzy na mnie nastają; i poniżył ich Ten, który
króluje od wieków. Złóż troskę swoją na Pana, On sam
cię podtrzyma.

Boże, który najbardziej okazujesz swoją wszechmoc Deus, qui omnipoténtiam tuam parcéndo
przebaczając i litując się, pomnóż w nas łaski Twego máxime et miserándo maniféstas: multíplica
miłosierdzia, abyśmy biegnąc ku Twoim obietnicom, super nos misericórdiam tuam; ut, ad tua
stali się uczestnikami dóbr niebieskich. Przez Pana.

ENG: O God, You manifest Your power, particularly in forbearance and pity, show us Your mercy

1Kor 12,2-11
Duch Święty nadal działa w Kościele, obdarzając świętych rozmaitymi charyzmatami. Są one potwierdzeniem
obecności Boga w Kościele.
Bracia: Wiecie, że gdy byliście poganami, prowadzono
was przed niemych bożków, i szliście. Przeto
oznajmiam wam, że nikt, kto przemawia w Duchu
Bożym, nie złorzeczy Jezusowi. I nikt nie może
wymówić «Panem jest Jezus», jeno w Duchu Świętym.
Są różne dary łaski, lecz tenże Duch. I różne są
rodzaje posług, lecz tenże Pan. I różne są rodzaje
działania, lecz tenże Bóg, który sprawia wszystko we
wszystkich. A każdemu dostaje się objaw Ducha dla
ogólnego pożytku. I tak jednemu dostaje się przez
Ducha mowa mądrości, a innemu mowa umiejętności
według tegoż Ducha. Jednemu wiara w tymże Duchu,
a innemu łaska uzdrawiania w tymże Duchu.
Jednemu dar czynienia cudów, innemu proroctwo,
innemu rozpoznawanie duchów, innemu rozmaitość
języków, a innemu umiejętność ich tłumaczenia. A
wszystko to sprawie jeden i tenże Duch, udzielając
każdemu z osobna, jako chce.
Fratres: Scitis, quóniam, cum gentes essétis, ad
simulácra muta prout ducebámini eúntes. Ideo
notum vobisfacio, quod nemo in Spíritu Dei
loquens, dicit anáthema Iesu. Et nemo potest

Lesson from the first letter of St Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians
1 Cor. 12:2-11
Brethren: You know that when you were Gentiles, you went to dumb idols according as you were led.
Wherefore I give you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God, says Anathema to
Jesus. And no one can say Jesus is Lord, except in the Holy Spirit. Now there are varieties of gifts,
but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of ministries, but the same Lord; and there are varieties
of workings, but the same God, Who works all things in all. Now the manifestation of the Spirit is
given to everyone for profit. To one through the Spirit is given the utterance of wisdom; and to
another the utterance of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; to another faith, in the same
Spirit; to another the gift of healing, in the one Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to
another prophecy; to another the distinguishing of spirits; to another various kinds of tongues; to
another interpretation of tongues. But all these things are the work of one and the same Spirit, Who
allots to everyone according as He will.

EVANGELIUM:
Łk 18,9-14
Jezus nie pochwala nieuczciwości włodarza. Stawia jednak za wzór jego przezorność w zabezpieczaniu sobie
przyszłości i wzywa, byśmy zabezpieczyli naszą przyszłość wieczną. Z dóbr doczesnych winniśmy tak korzystać, aby
pomnażały nasze zasługi.
Onego czasu: Mówił Jezus do niektórych, którzy
samym sobie ufali, jakoby byli sprawiedliwi, a innymi
pogardzali, tę przypowieść: «Dwóch ludzi weszło do
świątyni, aby się modlili: jeden faryzeusz, a drugi
celnik. Faryzeusz, stojąc, tak się modlił w duszy: Boże,
dziękuję Ci, że nie jestem jak inni ludzie, drapieżni,
niesprawiedliwi, cudzołożnicy, jako i ten celnik.
Poszczę dwakroć w tygodniu, składam dziesięciny ze
wszystkiego, co mam. A celnik, stojąc z daleka, nawet
oczu swych nie chciał wznieść w niebo, ale bił się w
piersi mówiąc: Boże, bądź miłościw mnie grzesznemu.
Powiadam wam: Ten odszedł do domu swego bardziej
usprawiedliwiony niźli tamten. Albowiem każdy, kto
się wywyższa będzie uniżony, a kto się uniża,
wywyższony będzie».

Luke 18:9-14
At that time, Jesus spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves as being just and despised
others. Two men went up to the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a publican. The
Pharisee stood and began to pray thus within himself: ‘O God, I thank You that I am not like the rest
of men, robbers, dishonest, adulterers, or even like this publican. I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of
all that I possess.’ But the publican, standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes to
heaven, but kept striking his breast, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me the sinner!’ I tell you, this man
went back to his home justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself shall be
humbled, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted.

It is truly meet and just, right and for our salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places,
give thanks unto Thee, O holy Lord, Father almighty, everlasting God; Who, together with Thine
only-begotten Son, and the Holy Ghost, art one God, one Lord: not in the oneness of a single Person,
but in the Trinity of one substance. For what we believe by Thy revelation of Thy glory, the same do
we believe of Thy Son, the same of the Holy Ghost, without difference or separation. So that in
confessing the true and everlasting Godhead, distinction in persons, unity in essence, and equality

i zjednoczy. Przez Pana.

ENG: We beseech You, O Lord our God, that in Your mercy You will not withhold Your help from
those whom You constantly restore with divine sacraments. Through Jesus Christ.
LECTIO:
1Kor 12,2-11
Bracia: Wiecie, że gdyście byli poganami, ciągnęło was nieodparcie ku niemym bożkom. Otóż zapewniam was,
że nikt, pozostając pod natchnieniem Ducha Bożego, nie może mówić: «Niech Jezus będzie przeklęty!». Nikt też
nie może powiedzieć bez pomocy Ducha Świętego: «Panem jest Jezus». Różne są dary łaski, lecz ten sam Duch;
różne też są rodzaje posługiwania, ale jeden Pan; różne są wreszcie działania, lecz ten sam Bóg, sprawca
wszystkiego we wszystkich. Wszystkim zaś objawia się Duch dla [wspólnego] dobra. Jednemu dany jest przez
Ducha dar mądrości słowa, drugiemu umiejętność poznawania według tego samego Ducha, innemu jeszcze dar
wiary w tymże Duchu, innemu łaska uzdrawiania w jednym Duchu, innemu dar czynienia cudów, innemu
proroctwo, innemu rozpoznawanie duchów, innemu dar języków i wreszcie innemu łaska tłumaczenia języków.
Wszystko zaś sprawia jeden i ten sam Duch, udzielając każdemu tak, jak chce.
EVANGELIUM:
Łk 18,9-14
Onego czasu: Powiedział też do niektórych, co ufali sobie, że są sprawiedliwi, a innymi gardzili, tę przypowieść:
«Dwóch ludzi przyszło do świątyni, żeby się modlić, jeden faryzeusz a drugi celnik. Faryzeusz stanął i tak w
duszy się modlił: "Boże, dziękuję Ci, że nie jestem jak inni ludzie, zdziercy, oszuści, cudzołożnicy, albo jak i ten
celnik. Zachowuję post dwa razy w tygodniu, daję dziesięcinę ze wszystkiego, co nabywam". Natomiast celnik
stał z daleka i nie śmiał nawet oczu wznieść ku niebu, lecz bił się w piersi i mówił: "Boże, miej litość dla mnie,
grzesznika!" Powiadam wam: Ten odszedł do domu usprawiedliwiony, nie tamten. Każdy bowiem, kto się
wywyższa, będzie poniżony, a kto się uniża, będzie wywyższony».
