TUMULT FOUNDATION'S FILM PROJECTS AWARDED AT
GDYNIA FILM FESTIVAL!

We are proud to announce that during the 40th Gdynia Film Festival's Closing Gala two films
were awarded, the realization of which was supported by the Tumult Foundation, the organizer
of the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography CAMERIMAGE. Both Jerzy
Skolimowski's 11 Minutes and Janusz Majewski's The Eccentrics. The Sunny Side of the
Street were partly co-financed by the „Kujawsko-Pomorskie – kreatywne wsparcie marki
regionu" fund within the Regional Operational Programme for Kujawsko-Pomorskie
Voivodeship, operated by the Tumult Foundation.
Jerzy Skolimowski's 11 Minutes was awarded with Special Jury Award, editor Agnieszka
Glińska was announced the laureate of the Award for Best Editing, and composer Paweł
Mykietyn took home the Award for Best Music. Marek Żydowicz and the Tumult Foundation
are also, together with Jerzy Skolimowski, the co-producers of 11 Minutes. In the director's
absence, Marek Żydowicz accepted the Special Jury Award on his behalf, saying that Jerzy
Skolimowski has showed us that in the times full of demons we should be more receptive to...
the vulnerability of other people. And the way 11 Minutes was made is a proof that being young
is not only about a man's biology.
Janusz Majewski's The Eccentrics. The Sunny Side of the Street was awarded with the
Silver Lions, the second prize of Gdynia Film Festival. Actor Wojciech Pszoniak won in the
Best Supporting Role category. Also, when on stage, Janusz Majewski and the film's
producer, Włodzimierz Niderhaus, took the time to thank Piotr Całbecki, the Marshall of
Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, and Michał Zaleski, the President of Toruń, for their support
in making The Eccentrics. The Sunny Side of the Street.
Jerzy Zieliński won the Award for Best Cinematography for his work on Michał Rogalski's
