Zarańska Joanna Duration: The lesson lasts 45 minutes. ic a Topic: “I can dance” - exercises D ęb Lesson Aims: At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to: • Use the verbs: read, swim, sing, fly, dance • Talk about ability using / can... Appel Magdalena, Zarańska Joanna supplementary materials: CD, flashcards (read, swim, sing, fly, dance), a marionette SP 3 • Lesson stages: 1 . Introduction: - the teacher greets students, checks the attendance (3 minutes) 2. Warm up: - the teacher writes on the board the number of the lesson, she asks students about the weather, the day of the week etc. (3 minutes) 3. Presentation: - the teacher shows students a marionette - Teddy. She presents what Teddy can do by putting on the blackboard the flashcards. Children repeat after the teacher the names of the given verbs. (3 minutes) - the teacher asks students to stand up. Now, they act out the provided verbs. The teacher also asks children the questions using 'Can you...?' The Children answer the questions with the help of the teacher. (5 minutes) 4. Practice: - the teacher makes students listen to a song and then sing it, so that they practise new verbs, (ex. 1 p. 44 student's book) (5 minutes) - the teacher makes students listen to a recording from ex. 2 p.44 (student's book) and then sing it and dance. The children practise new verbs. (7 minutes) - the teacher makes students do ex. 3 p. 44 (student's book). They have to complete the sentences according to the pictures and write one about themselves. Then, the teacher checks the answers by asking pointed students to write them on the board. (10 minutes) ic a - the students do ex. 4 p. 19 (student's book). They listen and sing a song. Then, they close their books and in pairs, they have to guess what was blue, green etc. (12 minutes) 5. Homework: D ęb - the teacher makes students do ex. 4 p. 45 (student's book). They have to write true sentences under each picture. The teacher asks pointed students to write the correct answers on the board (7 minutes) - the students are supposed to do ex. 6 p. 45 from their books. They have to draw and write what they can do. SP 3 Additional activity: - The teacher asks each student what he/she can do.
