• The number of subscriber - about 13 mln.
• The number of employees - about 5200
• PTC commercially offers UMTS and high speed internet access based on
HSDPA and EDGE technologies
• as well as a lot of data and voice services to its subscribers
• Rapid pace of new technologies and solutions implementation (even on
the international scale) – e.g. Omnix platform, high speed data
transmission
• The only Polish Mobile operator involved in FP’s projects so far

We are primarily focused on:

Searching new promising ideas to be implemented in the future commercial telecommunication
systems

Identifying and establishing cooperation with Partners / Individual Researchers in order to participate
in EU sponsored projects and other R&D projects and activities
RESEARCH AREAS

Innovative mobile services (Personal Health Systems, ICT and Aging, ICT for Patient Safety, ICT for
Safety and Energy Efficiency in Mobility, monitoring etc.)

Content / Information management (Digital libraries, Enhanced learning)

New concepts of networks / platforms / architecture / services
