LISTENING SAMPLE PAPER
In this booklet, two sample tasks are provided for each of the skills of:
•
Listening
•
Reading
The two Listening and Reading Polish sample tasks in this booklet have been produced to give you a
better idea of the style of Asset Languages Preliminary Stage External Assessment. These tasks are
based on the sample external assessment materials in English on the website. Asset Languages live
tests will contain tasks of the same format as the tasks provided here.
For more information on the content of the Preliminary external assessments, please refer to the
Introductory Stage Guide which is available on the Asset Languages website. Language
specifications are also available and these show the language purposes and functions that are in
external tests for each language.
Asset Languages regularly receives feedback from centres and candidates as well as statistical
information from candidates’ live test responses. We take this information into account and, over time,
tests may be adapted and new task types introduced.

There are five parts to the test. You will hear each part twice. For each part of the
test, there will be time for you to look through the questions, and time for you to
check your answers.

Pierwsze mieszkanie
Po ślubie Marek i Ania mieszkali razem z rodzicami Marka. Marzyli o własnym
mieszkaniu, ale nie mieli na nie pieniędzy. Któregoś dnia Ania zobaczyła ogłoszenie w
gazecie o mieszkaniu do wynajęcia. Było to maleńkie mieszkanie na parterze, ale tylko za
250 złotych tygodniowo. Nie mogli uwierzyć w swoje szczęście.
Jednak Marek i Ania nie byli jedyną parą, która była zainteresowana tym mieszkaniem.
Właścicielka mieszkania, pani Milska mogła sobie wybierać, kto będzie tam mieszkać. Na
szczęście wybrała ich. Powiedziała im potem, że dlatego ich wybrała, ponieważ obydwoje
mieli dobrą pracę.
Rodzice Ani dali im łóżko, stół i dwa krzesła. Ania i Piotr mieli trochę zaoszczędzonych
pieniędzy, za które Ania kupiła materiał i uszyła z niego obrus i zasłony. Ale
najważniejsze, że mogli też kupić małą kuchenkę elektryczną.
Była to jedyna zupełnie nowa rzecz, jaką mieli. Razem z kuchenką dostali też w ofercie
darmową książkę kucharską. Codziennie rano Ania sprawdzała przepis dnia i po drodze z
pracy kupowała potrzebne produkty na obiad. Szybko jednak przekonała się, że niektóre
dania były lepsze od innych. Marek mówił, że wszystkie posiłki były wyśmienite, ale to nie
zawsze była prawda.
