A) Title of the scientific achievement:
Identification of the kozlowski/Lau event (Ludfordian, Silurian) record in Poland and
its palaeogeographic interpretation
B) List of papers presenting the scientific achievement along with the descriptions of the personal

changes during the late Ludlow (Silurian) of the Łysogóry region (Rzepin section, Holy

I am the co-author of the concept of the paper. My contribution in the paper includes obtaining funding for
the research, experimental works, sequence stratigraphic and chemostratigraphic correlation with Gotland
discussion of the sea-level changes and revision of sequence stratigraphic interpretation of Burgsvik
Formation. I am the author of the figures and first draft of most parts of the text (results and discussion).
My percentage contribution in the paper can be estimated at 65%.

ray and magnetic susceptibility excursions in the Mielnik IG-1 borehole (Eastern

I am the sole author of the concept of the paper. My contribution in the paper includes obtaining funding for
the research, measuring the section, collecting and preparation of the isotope samples, facies analysis and
spectrometric measurements of gamma-ray radiation in the core. Katarzyna Sobień was responsible for
laboratory and field (core) analyses of magnetic susceptibility. I am the author of most interpretations,
except the data on magnetic susceptibility, the interpretation of which resulted from discussions with the coauthor. I am the author of figures (except fig. 8) and text, except the chapters indicated in the paper on
magnetic susceptibility that were authored by Katarzyna Sobień (chapters 4.4 and 5.4). My percentage
contribution in the paper can be estimated at 90%.

geochronological and paleomagnetic research, individual collection of most muscovite samples (13/17) and
collection of paleomagnetic samples in Nawodzice. I also took part in the interpretation of the obtained
results. My percentage contribution in the paper can be estimated at 15%.

In this research I took part in the field expeditions and in the facies-stratigraphic analyses. I am also the coauthor of the main hypothesis on the dominating role of onshore transport. I took part in the preparation of
the text of the paper. My contribution in the paper can be estimated at 25%.

I am the author of the concept of the project, along with postulating the hypotheses related to sequence
stratigraphy. I have introduced my M.Sc. student in the study area (two field excursions) and supplied most
of the references. I have consulted the sedimentological issues and I am the major co-author of the sequence
stratigraphic interpretation. My contribution in the paper can be estimated at 35%.

My contribution in the paper is the initial concept of E. Jarochowska’s Ph.D. project with the indication
and preliminary recognition of the study area. In the merits, I have suggested the assignment of the
discovered fossils to conocardiids and supplied comparative material from the Lau interval in the Holy
Cross Mountains. I also took part in the discussion of the research hypotheses. My percentage contribution
in the paper is estimated at 25%.
