ITM Poland 2013: Welcome to the world of the
latest technology
It is here in Poznań where technologies of the future are not secrets to anyone. During
Poland's largest industrial trade fair ITM Poland one can see the results of work of
engineers and scientists from the most modern laboratories in the world. Almost a
thousand exhibitors and represented companies from Polish and abroad, 8 largest
exhibition halls - we invite you to explore!
From multifunctional industrial robots, devices for powder coating and lacquer applications,
with latest centers, offer in the field of metallurgy, casting, welding, pneumatics, the
maintenance, the latest software, collective protection measures and offer of subcontracting
services companies. This wide range of exhibition is present at this year's ITM Poland.
This year we will see the offer of companies from 30 countries, all under eight thematic
exhibitions: Mach-Tool, Hape, Metalforum, Surfex, Welding, Transport, RESEARCH FOR
INDUSTRY and Work Safety in Industry.
In addition, this year the exhibition is complemented by the offer of companies from the field
of "maintenance" and subcontracting services of metal processing which will be held within
the accompanying events - SUBCONTRACTING 2013 bis, accompanied by business
meetings - Subcontracting ITM Meetings.

An overview of presented machinery and equipment from around the world in one place is
repeatable, annual opportunity to compare technologies, quality, creativity and execution. In
Poznań, the cutting-edge solutions can be seen, for example, in the field of energy-saving
and advanced manufacturing systems, nanotechnology, information technology, or even
organic construction materials.
Where exploring of ITM Poland can begin, and thus viewing technologies critical to the future
of the industry?
MACH-TOOL (Halls 7, 7A, 8, 5A, 5G, 5 and 6A)
It is the largest industry related exhibition of ITM Poland. The visitors will be able to see,
among others, new models of versatile presses, industrial robots, bevelers, the latest
machining centers, milling, laser and plasma cutting machines and software.
The novelties will be presented, among others, by: ABH, Agie Charmilles, Abplanalp, Avia,

As a part of the Metalforum exhibition, the Foundry Theme Park will be held, in which the

At ITM Poland, the members of the Polish Chamber of Steelworks (including ASMET,

speech.
This year's market news will be seen on the stands of: Central Institute for Labour Protection
Centralny Instytut Ochrony Pracy), Institute of Electrical Engineering (Instytutu
Elektrotechniki) from Warsaw and the company Arpol or TimeLine Financials GmbH.
The Hall 3 will also housing SUBCONTRACTING 2013 bis fair where companies providing
subcontracting services in the field of metal processing will present their offer.
WELDING, Work Safety in Industry (Hall 3A)
This will be already the ninth edition of the Welding Academy, in which this year Technika
Spawalnicza (Welding Technology), Fronius and Panasonic, Saz Welding will participate
among others.
At the exhibition one will be able to see the latest equipment for welding, cutting, soldering,
or metal spraying, industrial robots and machines, specialized positions, welding
consumables and software.
The novelties will be presented, among others, by: ABB or KUKA Roboter.
Moreover, in the hall 3 such brands as Aspa, Bendam, Certech, Cloos-Polska, Electrex –
Joao, Integrator-RHC, Kjellberg Finsterwalde Plasma System, Kjellberg Finsterwalde, Saz
Welding, Schweisstechnik und Verschleissschutzsysteme, Klimawent, Laservorm, Lotnik,
LUT-SPAW, Nederman, Plasma System, ROBOP, SAP-WELD, SARIV, Taskoprojekt,
Technika Spawalnicza and Wibropol will present themselves.
The offer of the Welding exhibition will be supplemented by the OHS exhibition within which
the offer on the following fields will be presented: personal protective equipment and
collective protection, control and measuring apparatus,, resources and equipment for first aid
or sanitary equipment and job equipment. During them the managers responsible for safety
in the workplace and health and safety professionals will be able to deepen their knowledge,
to receive feedback from experts and gain a lot of valuable practical advice. an international
conference on "50 + Health protection of workers in terms of extension their professional
activity" ("50+ Ochrona zdrowia pracowników w aspekcie wydłuŜania się ich aktywności
zawodowej" ) prepared by the National Labour Inspectorate will an important event. The
Main Board of National Association of OSH Workforce and the Office of Technical Inspection
organize, within the public information campaign in 2013 “Through innovation to safety”
(„Przez innowacje do bezpieczeństwa”), a seminar on “Innovations in work safety
management" (”Innowacyjność w zarządzaniu bezpieczeństwem pracy”). An interesting
conference on "Can a machine not pose a threat" („Czy maszyna moŜe nie stwarzać
zagroŜeń”) is being prepared by the Central Institute of Work - National Research Institute ".
In addition, between seminars short presentations will be organized, prepared by the portal
Kulturabezpieczeństwa.pl., the attractiveness of which can be confirmed, at least, by a few
titles: "Behavioral audits - fashion or necessity?", "Occupational hazard - how to make a
good assessment of risk", "Risk reduction plan - what is it? "," Investigation of accidents and
accident protocol is not the same", "First Aid" („Audyty behawioralne – moda czy
konieczność?”, „Ryzyko zawodowe – jak wykonać dobrą ocenę ryzyka”, „ Plan redukcji
ryzyka – co to takiego?”, „Badanie wypadków a protokół powypadkowy to nie to samo” ,
„Pierwsza pomoc”).
SURFEX (Hall 6A)
During the ITM Poland on the space of more than 100 m2, the various method surface
treatment show as a part the Skills Boot Camp will take place. This space is distinguished
by the opportunity to hold talks with various experts, among others, in the fields of:

equipment for powder coating, paint application, testing equipment coatings, cleaners,
pumps, equipment for blast, furnaces for polymerization, paint walls, booths, means of
transport, or grinding.
On 5 of June there will be also interesting thematic workshops held, not only for the paint
shop managers, engineers and painters, but also for architects:

MTP Gold Medal Winners! Products awarded at ITM Poland 2013
MTP Gold Medal is one of the most recognizable awards in the
Polish market and with the longest, for more than three decades,
traditions. This award is certainly a confirmation of the quality of the
product and consequently the part of its promotion in the market.
This year, the Jury chaired by Prof. dr hab. Adam Mazurkiewicz,
Director of the Institute for Sustainable Technologies - National
Research Institute in Radom, has honoured 22 products with MTP
Gold Medal. All MTP Gold Medals awards are equivalent and the
awarded products can be seen on display in a specially designated
stands.

O-INSPECT 322- Compact multisensor measuring machine

The machine has two measuring sensors: tactile scanning head ZEISS VAST XXT and
contactless optical scanning measurement system Discovery V12 based on telecentric lens.
The machine can be installed in a test laboratory or as TVA (variable temperature accuracy)
directly on the manufacturing floor (protection class IP54 and guaranteed accuracy of up to
30 ° C). Its important feature is the ability to me asure single points and scan with little
measuring pressure of range of 1 mN.

2D TruLaser 3030 Fiber laser cutter - with a compact integrated TruDisk 3001
generator

TruLaser 3030 fiber is dedicated to a universal machine for black sheet metal, for all
thicknesses. This allows the economical cutting with oxygen, nitrogen in particular of
structural steel of different thicknesses. Solid-state laser TruDisk 3001 enables the
processing of non-ferrous metals. The machine has a high degree of flexibility due to the
possibility of pipe working and non-ferrous metals processing. There is an option of nozzle
changer available and one head strategy ensures minimum downtime.
Equator 300 - compactor of geometrical quantities

Universal comparator is a three axis measuring machine with scanning head SP25.
Mechanics based on parallel kinematics system provides a very high acceleration and high
measuring speed. Measurement range - cylinder with a diameter of 300 mm and a height of
150mm allows control of up to 25 kg. The construction enables work in conditions of work
environments and unstable temperature conditions. Equator 300 weighs 25 kg and can act
as a mobile control station of produced parts.
Logistics chain security video system

A comprehensive surveillance system of production processes, packaging and transport is
based on an integrated recording cameras and telemetry data (e.g., tracking numbers,
scanners location, etc..). This solutions enables fast traceability, loss and theft reductions. It
is also used to improve safety in consignment transport, meeting the UE legal regulations
strengthening customs and counter-terrorism control
BASIC Tower Storage System

BASIC Tower - a compact, economical and practical storage system dedicated to companies
dealing with sheet metal storage in small quantities that do not wish to compromise on the
efficiency of automated storage system. The system uses to the maximum storage space,
reduces the access time to the materials by 80% ensuring their smooth flow. At an altitude of
3830 to 7250 mm the warehouse can be divided into 14 to 33 levels of storage and allows
you to store 100 tons of material.
CT 960 universal hole grinder with CNC control

High-precision compact hole grinder with a 4 or 5 sanding spindle on the turret headstock
during external, internal, formed grinding of cones, thread and rays can grind small and
medium-sized parts with complex geometry, made of hard materials (tungsten carbide,
ceramics, synthetic diamond). The sander has one-micron tolerance. Simulation and
optimisation tools reduce processing times and measurement cycles for quality control.

Stator designed primarily for high speed brushless DC motors of PMBLDC type (more than
30 000 r/min), used in the military, automotive engineering, the production of electricity from

generation of cells, is a preferred alternative to internal engine combustion powered transport
devices. The advantage of the system is the recovery of energy when braking and the ability
to generate traction in the friction or rack and pinion systems, providing the ability to transport
materials to the inclined slopes of 30 degrees.
UKS device for checking integrity of welded joints by using trial

UKS device for leak testing of welded joints in the construction of low pressure. This allows
testing of angular ,cross butt joints on flat and curved surfaces. The test is carried out in
ambient air at generated negative pressure, in the highlighted chamber applied on he tested
section. Depending on the type of connectors, the test chamber may have the oblong, round
or angular shape. Transparent plate of the chamber facilitates the observation of the tested
connector.
Vision system for automatic referencing of the workpiece on the machine

The system is modern and unprecedented in the machine tool industry tool for video, threedimensional scanning of the workpiece and analysing workspace of the machine tool that
allows automatic adjustment of the database for processing. With the knowledge of the
location of collision objects prevent collisions of tools during movements of actuators and
processing. This solution replaces the contact probe, significantly reduces downtime of a
machine and improves the efficiency of its work

Environment-friendly ceramic materials based on cordierite for applications

Resulting from modification of fly ash, high-temperature cordierite ceramic fittings are
environmentally-friendly structural materials resistant to thermal shocks and attrition with
good insulation properties and low coefficient of thermal expansion, low dielectric constant,
high chemical and thermal stability. Fittings are created for the synthesis of new materials metal composite materials for automotive and aviation industry.
Auditory and visual attention stimulator
Katedra Systemów Multimedialnych, Wydział ETI, Politechnika Gdańska. Hall 3, stand 70
Practice with the use of the stimulator stimulates and improves the sound and image
perception though through simultaneous stimulation of the senses of hearing and sight. In
the presented study a range of advanced algorithms for audio and video processing and
original visual fixation point tracking system on a computer screen were used. The solution is
designed for school-age children, for whom quick detection of lateralization disorders is
crucial to the process of education.
Video streams anonimizator

Video streams anonimizator provides protection of the privacy of the bystanders who are in
the CCTV coverage area. The invention does not adversely affect the level of security
provided. The main objective of the anonimizator is to protect sensitive data transmitted in
the video streams such as faces, license plates, silhouettes, behaviours, etc. Privacy
protection is carried out through crypto-anonymization algorithms, which allows data
recovery, for instance in an emergency.

is implemented by the original solution of the duplex worm gear in which the cylindrical worm
works with two leading toothings with a special geometry. The rotary table was created as a
part of a development project no. NR03-0107-10/2010
Rapid preparation system of casts for processing and machining charges minimizing
Instytut Technologii Mechanicznej, Politechnika Poznańska. Hall 7, stand 37
Rapid preparation system of casts for processing (developmental grant no. R03 0101 10)
eliminates completely from the chain of preparatory activities manual evaluation of the
correctness of the casting geometry and the distribution of excess material of machining. The
solutions developed have been subject to four patent applications. As a result of the
implementation, savings resulting from reducing of the volume machined by average 15 %
are obtained.
