The article presents new records of the following nine, very rare species of long-tongued bees
(Megachilidae and Apidae): Heriades crenulatus Nylander, 1856; Megachile genalis Morawitz,
1880; Nomada atroscutellaris Strand, 1921; Nomada braunsiana Schmiedeknecht, 1882; Nomada
conjugens Herrich-Schäffer, 1839; Nomada errans Lepeletier, 1841; Nomada guttulata Schenck,
1861; Nomada stigma Fabricius, 1804, and Nomada zonata Panzer, 1798. So far, the species are
known from single or from just a few stands in Poland. For every species the following information
was provided: Polish localities with their UTM coordinates, distribution and bionomics.
Keywords: Hymenoptera, Apoidea, Megachilidae, Apidae, distribution, bionomics, Poland.
Introduction
Our paper gives new data on the
distribution of 9 rare species of longtongued bees (Megachilidae and Apidae)
in Poland1. Information about the
bionomics and distribution of these species
is also summarized. The zoogeographical
partitioning of the regions of Poland
follows the one used in the “Katalog fauny
Polski” (Banaszak, 1980a). For each
locality, the UTM coordinates are given.
Specimens are housed in the collections
of the Museum of Ojców National Park
(ONP, Ojców), the Laboratory of Ecology
and Environmental Protection of Jan
Kochanowski University (UJK, Kielce), as
well as the authors’ collections.

roofs (Westrich, 1990; Banaszak and
Romasenko, 1998).

W artykule przedstawiono nowe stanowiska 9 bardzo rzadkich gatunków pszczół
długojęzyczkowych (Megachilidae i Apidae), znanych dotychczas w Polsce z pojedynczych lub
bardzo nielicznych stanowisk: Heriades crenulatus Nylander, 1856; Megachile genalis Morawitz,
1880; Nomada atroscutellaris Strand, 1921; Nomada braunsiana Schmiedeknecht, 1882; Nomada
conjugens Herrich-Schäffer, 1839; Nomada errans Lepeletier, 1841; Nomada guttulata Schenck,
1861; Nomada stigma Fabricius, 1804 i Nomada zonata Panzer, 1798. Dla każdego gatunku podano
informacje o polskich stanowiskach wraz z ich współrzędnymi UTM, rozsiedleniu i bionomii.
Słowa kluczowe: Hymenoptera, Apoidea, Megachilidae, Apidae, rozmieszczenie, bionomia,
Polska.
