16.02.2011 Location decisions for the Gustorzyn-Odolanów pipeline in the wielkopolskie and kujawsko-pomorskie provinces On 19 January 2011, the Governor of the Wielkopolskie Province Piotr Florek issued a decision defining the location of the gas transmission pipeline on the Gustorzyn-Odolanów route (stage I in the kolski and turecki districts). A decision establishing the investment’s location in the kujawsko-pomorskie province has also been issued for the Gustorzyn-Odolanów pipeline by the Governor of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, Ewa Mes, on 4 February 2011. The Gustorzyn – Odolanów pipeline is located in the wielkopolskie and kujawsko-pomorskie provinces and will measure a total of 168 km and have a diameter of 700 mm. The pipeline will improve the security of gas transmission in central Poland. The route defined in the first stage of the investment in the wielkopolskie province will measure app. 47.9 km and will run through the kolski district (including the communes: Babiak, Miasto and Koło Commune, Osiek Mały and Kościelec) and through three communes of the turecki district (Brudzew, Turek and Przykona). The remaining part of the investment’s first stage located in the area of the kujawsko-pomorskie province will measure app. 35.5 km and will encompass three communes of the włocławski district (Brześć Kujawski, Lubraniec and Izbica Kujawska). The investment project conducted by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. on the Gustorzyn-Odolanów section is co-financed in the amount of 175.5 M PLN from the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment 2007-2013 (OPI&S). The Program also co-finances the pipelines Włocławek-Gdynia (31 M PLN), Jeleniów-Dziwiszów (65.1 M PLN), Szczecin-Gdańsk (226.9 M PLN), Polkowice-Żary (25.6 M PLN) and Rembelszczyzna-Gustorzyn (121.55 M PLN). *** GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. plans to build more than 1000 km of new gas transmission pipelines by 2014. The most important pipelines will be developed in northwestern and central Poland (Szczecin-Lwówek, Świnoujście - Szczecin, Szczecin – Gdańsk, Włocławek – Gdynia, Rembelszczyzna – Gustorzyn, Gustorzyn - Odolanów) and in Lower Silesia. The final section of the Włocławek-Gdynia pipeline is currently underway. Project documentation related to the other gas pipelines in northwestern and central Poland is currently being prepared. The documentation includes a building design and a detailed design of the pipeline. The documentation stage also includes the acquisition of a building permit for the project. The documentation will be completed in 2011. GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. has announced three tenders for the construction of the pipelines, namely for the development of the Gustorzyn-Odolanów, Szczecin-Gda ńsk (stage I Płoty-Karlino) and Świnoujście-Szczecin pipelines. Framework agreements for the delivery of pipes for strategic gas pipelines have been concluded in January of 2011.
