SYLLABUS Introduction to Project Management [18 h] Opis Kursu wprowadzenie do tematyki zarządzania projektami w organizacji umiejętności i zdolności ważne w pracy project manager’a zarządzanie komunikacją w projekcie zapoznanie z narzędziami i technikami – nabywanie praktycznych umiejętności zapoznanie z różnymi metodologiami w zakresie zarządzania projektami (PMI, Prince2, Agile, Scrum) Wymagania Znajomość języka na poziomie średnio zaawansowanym Program 1. Corporate orientation & Introduction to PM. What is a project and project management? -Why projects have to be managed? - project/program/portfolio - projects vs. operations - project/program/ PMO roles and responsibilities within corporate context - case study walkthrought 2. Stakeholders management & skill set of a good PM - Communication, negotiation, self-starting drive, leadership, roles and responsibilities - Stakeholders management – process and techniques - Presentation skills and techniques 3. Working in Virtual environment - issues/challenges resulting from distributed project teams - best practicies and leadeship, tools & techniques required in virtual teams management 4. PMI Project Management Framework - Brief Presentation of the PMI project management framework - High-level overview of objectives of all 10 knowledge areas (integration, scope, time, cost, quality, risk, HR, communication, procurement, stakeholders) 5. PM methodology a) Project life cycle b) Initiation -project charter, -project kick-off, c) Planning Planning - scope definition, -WBS & schedule preparation, - critical path - budget planning d) Tools in project management 6. Ms project works hop - Practical knowledge of ms project 7. PM methodology a) Execution - conflict management - risk management - communication - change management - other key processes b) Monitoring & contorlling - reporting - quality management 8. PM methodology - Closing project (best practices/lesson learnt) - Risk Management 9. PMP exam – overview & IBM PM career path Other PM methodologies - About PMP exam - IBM & ING PM career path - Overview of Prince2, Agile-Scrum methodologies 10. Case presentation & Final Exam a) students in the group of 4 or 5 will present the cases in front of the class which they have been given during the course as a home assignment (15 min. for each presentation + feedback/voting). In total the session will take up to 3 hours. b) students will sit for a test exam (45-60 min) Grading: 50% - group presentation; 50% test results
