MOŻNA W SCYENCYI NUMISMATYCZNEY”
The article is concerned with the numismatic literary materials preserved as part of the
Princes Czartoryski Library in Krakow and with the connections between the numismatic
collection and the Princes Czartoryski Library. Particular focus is given to old prints, and lists
are provided of the 16th- and 17th-century prints dealing with medallic art and numismatics.
The author devotes particular attention to the work entitled Wizerunk y szacunek mynic
wszelakich cudzoziemskich, (...) przez sławnego Kaspra Rytkiera, published in Krakow in
1600. The copy in the collection of the Princes Czartoryski Library, the only surviving copy
of this work, was used to create two re-editions of the work in 1883 and 1965.
