HOW TO GET THERE
General Info
1) Due to the extensive roadwork which take place currently in Łódź, we advise you to
take a taxi. It is the easiest and most convenient way of getting to the university
campus. You will pay around 30zł=~8USD (from Łódź railway and bus stations) or
40zł=~10USD (from the Łódź airport).
There are several taxi stands outside railway/bus stations and the airport. You can
also order a taxi cab calling:

2) Public means of transport do not provide direct connections between railway
stations/bus stations/the airport and the university campus. One or two changes are
necessary.
3) Public transport tickets can be purchased at newsagent’s or from ticket machines
(the latter can be also found in most buses and trams; most of them accept only
payment cards). To get to the dormitory or to the conference venue, if there are no
unexpected traffic obstacles, you will most probably need one 40-minute ticket
which is valid for 60 minutes (3,40zł); 20-minute tickets, valid for 40 minutes (2,60zł)
(it is not a mistake it is a bonus due to roadwork). All tickets must be validated upon
first entry to bus/tram by putting them into validating machines (small metal boxes
found close to the door) and then you can change freely within the time indicated
(counted from the moment of validating your ticket).
NOTE! It is also possible to buy a single trip ticket from the driver (3,80zł) - such a
ticket does not entitle you to change vehicles (it is valid in this particular vehicle only
from the moment of validating it).
NOTE! 3-day tickets (25,20zł) are also available (at special points of ticket sales, at
some newsagent’s).

If you arrive at Łódź-Kaliska railway/bus station:
1) By taxi - see General Info
2) By bus and tram
- Go to the bus stop BANDURSKIEGO-DWORZEC ŁÓDŹ-KALISKA at Bandurskiego Str.
- Take the bus Z10 or 98 or 98A, direction KOPCIŃSKIEGO, and go for two bus stops (4 minutes);
get off at the bus stop named MICKIEWICZA-SZPITAL IM. WAM.
- Go to the bus stop ŻEROMSKIEGO-SZPITAL IM. WAM at Żeromskiego Str.
- Take the tram 15 or 15A, direction TELEFONICZNA.
- Get off at the stop named POMORSKA-MATEJKI (after around 25 minutes).

If you arrive at Łódź-Widzew railway station:
1) By taxi - see General Info
2) By bus and tram
- Go to the bus stop DWORZEC ŁÓDŹ-WIDZEW situated just outside the main hall.
- Take the bus 64, direction DWORZEC PKS PÓŁNOCNY; get off at the bus stop named
PRZYBYSZEWSKIEGO-LODOWA (after around 10 minutes).
- Take the bus 82 or 82A, direction DWORZEC PKS PÓŁNOCNY (from the same stop); get off at the
bus stop named KOPCIŃSKIEGO-RONDO SOLIDARNOŚCI (after around 20 minutes).
- Go to the tram stop POMORSKA-RONDO SOLIDARNOŚCI at Pomorska Str.
- Take the tram 15 or 15A or 43, direction TELEFONICZNA.
- Get off at the stop named POMORSKA-MATEJKI (2 stops, 4 minutes).

- Go to the bus stop LOTNISKO TERMINAL PASAŻERSKI situated just outside the main entrance of
the passenger terminal.
- Take the bus 65, direction ŚWITEZIANKI; get off at the stop named ŻEROMSKIEGO-PLAC
BARLICKIEGO (after around 25 minutes).
- Go to the tram stop GDAŃSKA-ZIELONA at Gdańska Str.
- Take the tram 15 or 15A, direction TELEFONICZNA.
- Get off at the stop named POMORSKA-MATEJKI (after around 20 minutes).
