Armii Krajowej 19, tel. (fax). 34 32-50-795 Dr hab. Piotr Pawlik, Associate Professor of CUT, joined the Institute of Physics at the Department of Production Engineering and Materials Technology, Czestochowa University of Technology in 1992. Since then his scientific interests were concentrated around studies of magnetic domain structures and magnetic reversal processes present in hard magnetic Fe-based alloys. An important effect of those studies were his PhD thesis entitled: “Magnetization reversal process in nanocrystalline Sm-Fe-N magnets” and the PhD degree with honorable mention gained at the Institute of Physics Polish Academy of Sciences in 2000. In years 2001-2003 he was employed as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Department of Engineering Materials the University of Sheffield (UK). His contract was financed by European Union under the Research Training Network on Bulk Metallic Glasses, and research coordinated by prof. Hywel A. Davies. During this period his scientific interest was focused on processing and characterization of Fe-base alloys, produced at ultrafast cooling conditions – especially bulk metallic glasses.
