Printing Inks Preparation Technician
(Zakład produkcyjny Tczew – ok. 40 km od centrum Gdańska)
Main goal of the position:
To develop color formulas and to mix screen printing inks, adhesives and varnishes for
production according to established company procedures and customer requirements
To mix standard and match color ink, sample ink batches, to print swatches and performs
color check per color specifications
To be able to estimate quantity of ink to be mixed per work order
To perform vendor quality check on incoming ink
To use several color measurement instruments
To maintain and plan ink inventories and records by performing the following duties
personally or through assistant personnel
We guarantee you can learn:
Preparation of mixed recipes for Pantone offset inks and silkscreen inks
Checking new recipes of inks on IGT testing machine before lunch production
Estimating quantity of ink to be mixed according to coverage requirements
Preparing color sequence chart to guide press operator in setting up press
Comparing printed swatch with customer's sample to verify color shade
Work with Pantone ink formulation software
Coordination ink room activities with printing department production schedule
Cooperation with printing production area in order to solve problems with mixed inks
Using colorimeter and/or spectrophotometer to match sample colors from customer
Performing vendor quality check on incoming ink
Maintaining records to verify ink room operations
Qualifications:
Graduated Ink Poligraphy or Printing Technical School
Knowledge of ink mixing process
Knowledge of colorimetric theory and dependences with color perception is a benefit
Knowledge of measurement tools usage – spectrophotometer, delta E is a benefit
Competences:
Fluent English (level B1 -B2)
Computer skills MS Excel
Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to define, analyze and solve problems
Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
Preciseness, well organize and cooperative
Presentation skills
Good cooperation at different business levels, clients and customers
