Drodzy Państwo,
Mamy zaszczyt zaprosić Państwo i Wasze dziecko na turę McMaster University w sobotę 4ego lutego 2012 o godzinie 11ej. Celem tej tury jest przedstawienie młodym ludziom, a
także ich rodzicom, studenckie życie aby zaczęli zastanawiać się nad szybko nadchodzącą
zmianę i związanymi z nią decyzjami. Tura jest bardziej ukierunkowana dla studentów
dwunastej klasy ale jeżeli jest zainteresowanie wśród młodszego rodzeństwa czy też
znajomych dzieci (nie tylko polaków), to są również mile widzieni.
Troszeczkę o nas. Jesteśmy grupą młodych ludzi pomiędzy 20-30 lat i chcielibyśmy
odwdzięczyć się Polonii w Hamilton. Pomiędzy nami są studenci z McMaster ale także
absolwenci wyższych uczelni z okolicy. Jesteśmy aktywnie zaangażowani w inicjatywach
takich jak PISK, Quo Vadis, Poland in the Rockies, HPYO, YPCPA i YouNxt od roku 2008.
Wykorzystaliśmy ogromne możliwości oferowane przez Polonię i teraz chcielibyśmy
podzielic się tymi możliwościami i naszą wiedzą z dziećmi Państwa.
Spotykamy się przy Tim Hortons w centrum studenckim (mapa jest dołączona:
centrum studenckie jest oznaczone imieniem „McMaster Children’s Centre”, najbliższy
płatny parking jest w strefie B, ale można też znaleźć darmowe miejsca przy ulicach
Dalewood i Dromore). Tura zaczyna się o godzinie 11:30 i będzie trwać do godziny 13:30.
Będzie ona prowadzona przez członków Stowarzyszenia Polskich Studentów w McMaster, i
będzie przerwa na lunch i na dyskusję o doświadczeniach i przeżyciach życia studenckiego.

Dear Polish High School parents,
We would like to cordially invite you and your child to a tour of McMaster University on
Saturday, February 4th, 2012, at 11:00 AM. The purpose of the tour is to show your
children—and yourselves—a glimpse of university life and to get them thinking about the
dramatic change that will hit them in a few short months. This tour is geared mostly toward
grade 12 students, though any younger students whose parents feel they might benefit
from this occasion are welcome to join (this includes siblings and non-Polish friends).
A little bit about us: we are a group of young Hamilton Polonia who would like to give back
to our community. Together, we number 10 senior university students, graduate students,
and recent alumni of a variety of schools and programs in the area. We have been actively
involved in initiatives like PISK, Quo Vadis, Poland in the Rockies, the HPYO, the YPCPA,
and YouNxt since 2008. We have taken advantage of the tremendous opportunities offered
by Polonia and now would like to share these opportunities with your children.
We will be meeting at the Tim Horton’s in the McMaster Student Centre (map attached:
labelled “McMaster Children’s Centre”, parking available in Lot Zone B for a price, and along
Dalewood and Dromore Crescents for free). The tour begins at 11:30 AM and lasts until
1:30 PM and will be led by members of the McMaster Polish Society student club. We will
have a break in the middle for lunch and for you and your children to ask us any specific
questions about our university experiences. Please bring a packed lunch or some money if
you are accustomed to eating lunch around noon.
