Zbigniew, the Superior of the Redemptorist
Community of Priests, who provide ministry to all of us at St. Mary of Czestochowa,
will be celebrating his 16th anniversary of
ordination on Friday, May 25th. May God
bless you, Fr. Zbigniew as you continue to serve Him and
the people at St. Mary of Czestochowa in your priestly ministry - CONGRATIULATIONS!
On the last day of class, Saturday, May
12th, the students received registration
forms for the 2007-2008 school year. Registration for the new school year will take
place on August 14, September 1st and
September 8th. Information about the Religious Education Program
and registration forms will also be available in the rectory. We encourage all parents to continue to bring their children to Mass during the
summer months.

Parents of Pre-school age children are invited to
participate in the following programs that will be
offered at the school:
► Tuesday, May 22nd - 6:30pm Preparation for
“Graduation” and summer enrichment ideas.
► Thursday May 31st - 10am End of Year Summary program.
Each program will be about 1 hr. and 45 minutes.

Rosary Confraternity
The Annual Rosary Confraternity Dinner will be
held on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at 1:00PM at the
Parish Social Center (50th and 31st Street).
The donation for the dinner is $15.00 per person. Members can pay their dues at the dinner.
Also donations of raffle prizes would be most appreciated. Please

Heavenly Father, you are the real foundation

There will be only one Mass celebrated at 9AM on Memorial
Day, Monday, May 28th in our church. Please come to pray for all
veterans, living and deceased and for all those in combat and for

Today is a day of great celebration.
Christ Jesus, victorious over every enemy,
has ascended to heaven and taken his seat
at his Father’s right hand! He returns to the
Father, taking with him as “captives” hearts
that have been captivated by his salvation
(Ephesians 4:8). All power and authority in
heaven and earth now belong to him.
Can you imagine the joy of the Seraphim,
the Cherubim, and the whole heavenly court as they welcome
Jesus home? Can you picture all of them bowing low, acknowledging him as their valiant King of glory?
Jesus, the man of sorrows acquainted with such grief: Jesus,
beaten scourged, and put to death; Jesus, mocked as a false
prophet, ridiculed as a fake king, taunted as a powerless
priest, has been vindicated! And now that he is enthroned, he
seeks to share his victory with everyone who will embrace
him. He has brought with him into glory that same human nature that was humbled to death. And in so doing, he has
raised up all of human nature and made it capable of intimate
and eternal communion with God.
How should we honor this day? By lifting up our hearts and
minds to heaven. By proclaiming that the gates of heaven are
open and that we can confidently approach the throne of God
to receive all the grace we need. Jesus may have gone to
heaven, but he will never stop caring about all of us, the
friends of his who are still on the earth. He is constantly pouring his love upon us and giving us abundant gifts that will help
us build up his church.
St. Augustine once said: “Our Lord ascends to heaven, let
our hearts ascent with him.” And Scripture offers us the same
advice: “If you have been raised with Christ, seek the things
that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of
God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things
that on earth.” (Colossians 3: 1-2).
So on this great and glorious day, let the Lord lift you up and
bring you into his throne room. Let your voice join with the
heavenly court in all the praise, worship, and adoration that
will go on for all eternity!
“O Jesus, slain for our sins, you are now King of kings and
Lord of lords. We love you and we adore you.”

La Ascensión del Señor
Según la narración de San Lucas, la
Iglesia celebra la Ascensión del Señor a los cuarenta días de su resurrección. Esta fiesta está dentro del
tiempo pascual que consta de cincuenta días y concluye con la Venida del Espíritu Santo sobre la Iglesia. (Cf. Lc 24, 49-53; Hch 1, 3-11; 2,
1-41) La fiesta de la Ascensión no
nos habla de un alejamiento de Cristo, sino de su glorificación en el Padre. Su cuerpo humano adquiere la gloria y las propiedades de
Dios antes de encarnarse. Con la Ascensión, Cristo se ha acercado más a nosotros, con la misma cercanía de Dios. Es también una fiesta de esperanza, pues con Cristo una parte, la primicia de nuestra humanidad, está con Dios. Con él, todos nosotros hemos subido al Padre en la esperanza y en la promesa.
En la Ascensión celebramos la subida de Cristo al Padre y
nuestra futura ascensión con él. Al celebrar el misterio de la
Ascensión del Señor, recuerda que EL CIELO ES NUESTRA
META y que la vida terrena es el camino para conseguirla.
La Educación Católica
El sábado 12 de mayo, los estudiantes recibieron las formas de registro por el año escolar 2007-2008. El registro
para el nuevo año escolar se levara a cabo el día 14 de
agosto, 1 de septiembre y 8 de septiembre. La información sobre las formas del programa y de registro de la
educación religiosa también estará disponible en la rectoría. Animamos a todos los padres que continúen trayendo

Wniebowstąpienie Pańskie
Jezus powiedział do swoich uczniów: Tak jest napisane: Mesjasz będzie cierpiał i trzeciego dnia zmartwychwstanie, w imię Jego głoszone będzie nawrócenie i odpuszczenie grzechów wszystkim narodom, począwszy od Jerozolimy. Wy jesteście świadkami tego.
Oto Ja ześlę na was obietnicę mojego Ojca. Wy zaś
pozostańcie w mieście, aż będziecie uzbrojeni mocą z
wysoka. Potem wyprowadził ich ku Betanii i podniósłszy ręce błogosławił ich. A kiedy ich błogosławił,
rozstał się z nimi i został uniesiony do nieba. Oni zaś
oddali Mu pokłon i z wielką radością wrócili do Jerozolimy, gdzie stale przebywali w świątyni, wielbiąc i
błogosławiąc Boga.

Czuwanie Nocne
Zapraszamy na czuwanie nocne połączone z nabożeństwem
wynagradzającym Najświętszemu Sercu Pana Jezusa i Niepokalanemu Sercu Maryi, które będzie miało miejsce w naszej parafii w czwartą sobotę miesiąca
tj. 26-go maja w godzinach od 7.00 PM do 9.50 PM.
W czasie czuwania można będzie skorzystać z sakramentu pokuty. Serdecznie zapraszamy na wspólną
modlitwę.

W tradycji polskiej miesiąc maj jest poświęcony Najświętszej Maryi Pannie. W
tym miesiącu składamy hołd Bożej Rodzicielce odmawiając litanię loretańską do
Matki Bożej jak też rozważając tajemnice
różańca świętego.
Zwróćmy uwagę by w tym miesiącu czy
to w sposób prywatny czy też przez udział
w nabożeństwie w kościele tej pięknej tradycji stało się zadość i abyśmy potrafili żyć
tak jak żyła Maryja Matka Chrystusa.
Nabożeństwa Majowe w naszym kościele będą w każdą niedzielę 15 minut przed Mszą św. o 10:30AM i 7:00PM. Serdecznie zachęcamy do licznego udziału w tych pięknych maryjnych nabożeństwach.

Wniebowstąpienie jest dniem
królewskiej intronizacji Chrystusa, tryumfem, jaki przygotowuje swojemu Synowi Bóg Ojciec. Stąd wiele radości w tekstach liturgicznych. Jest ono też
poręczeniem powtórnego przyjścia Chrystusa: "Ten Jezus,
wzięty od was do nieba, przyjdzie tak samo, jak widzieliście
Go wstępującego do nieba" (Dz 1, 11). Chrystus
powróci dla ostatecznego tryumfu dobra: powróci,
by oddać swemu Ojcu wszystko, by zgromadzić
wszystkich i wszystko w Kościele. Wniebowstąpienie jest nie tylko ostatecznym i uroczystym wywyższeniem Jezusa z Nazaretu, ale również zadatkiem i
gwarancją wywyższenia, wyniesienia do chwały
natury ludzkiej. Nasza wiara i nadzieja chrześcijan
zostają dzisiaj umocnione i utwierdzone, bowiem
jesteśmy zaproszeni nie tylko do tego, by rozważać
własną małość, słabość i ubóstwo, ale także ową
przemianę wspanialszą aniżeli samo dzieło stworzenia, "przemianę", której Chrystus w nas dokonuje
wówczas, kiedy jesteśmy z Nim zjednoczeni dzięki
łasce i sakramentom.
Warto podkreślić, że Pan Jezus wstąpił do nieba nie
sam, ale wziął ze sobą wszystkie dusze świętych z
otchłani. W czasie rozłąki z ciałem przed swoim
zmartwychwstaniem odwiedził je w otchłani i zapowiedział im rychłe wybawienie. Dzisiaj spełnia
obietnicę i triumfalnie wprowadza je do nieba. Ten
dzień jest więc ważnym wydarzeniem dla całego
rodzaju ludzkiego. Miejsce zbuntowanych aniołów
zajmują w niebie dusze ludzkie, aby na końcu świata mogły wejść także do chwały ich uwielbione ciała.
