Objectives of CERTAIN
♦ To provide a platform for coordinated work and efficient
dissemination of results of the clustered STREP proposals on
road infrastructure, dedicated to the New Member States:
SPENS on pavements and ARCHES on highway structures.
♦ To establish and reinforce links with stakeholder in New
Member States and Central and Eastern European countries
by organising dedicated workshops and providing the key
project deliverables in national languages.
♦ To set the route for more efficient incorporation of New
Member States and Central and Eastern European countries
partners in future European research by organising training
courses for the research project managers from these
countries.

Tools to be used to achieve these objectives
• establish and maintain efficient links between the two
NMS projects, on-going FP6 projects (INTRO, NR2C,
SILENCE) and some recently completed FP5 projects
(FORMAT, SAMARIS) from the area of road
infrastructure
• register the end-users from NMS and CEEC and
organise their activities.
• develop a multi-lingual web based platform, to provide
links with the end-users and means for consistent and
efficient promotion of the results.
• organise regional workshops in mother languages.
• organise project management trainings
