More about „Open Sounds”:
”Open Sounds” is a Youth Exchange project undertaken within 1.1 of Youth in Action
programme. The project will take place in European Meeting Centre in Nasutów (near
Lublin - Poland) from 28th June till 7th July 2011. The exchange brings together 28 young people who love music and have some music experience or interests and are 16-20
years old. There will be groups of young people from Greece, France, Spain and Poland.
The main subject of the project is art and this is mainly music but there are planned plastic and theatre activities too - decoupage technique, mandala and origami. The participants will have workshops with professional musicians and actress and the most important thing is that they are going to create and record common song, shoot video and
prepare workshops with children.
We believe that after the project, participants will be more open-minded and confident
and they will believe in their own capacities. Other aims of the project are development
of abilities and interests, getting to know new people and their culture, learning new
things, and promotion of tolerance.
Young people will emit their videoclip and they we will create ”Open Album” - e-book
about participants and exchange. Finally they will show effects of their work in the internet (www.facebook.com, www.youtube.com).

European Meeting Centre - Nowy Staw Foundation was established in 1993. The Foundation supports all social initiatives that

Academy "Złota 9"
A unique educational offer directed at the youth of Lublin Voivodeship.
The project is a joint intitiative of the Lublin's Dominican Order and European Meeting Centre - Nowy Staw Foundation. The Academy is a
combination of the pastoral experience of Dominican, Friar Ludwik Wiśniewski and the thirteen-year practice of work with youth that has been carried through in the Foundation.
European Centre of Youth Co-operation
The European Centre of Youth Co-operation supports the coactions and
international contacts of youth, especially in Europe. One of the main
forms of activity are the international meetings of youth.

Labour Market Institute
We conduct analyses and scientific research on the labour market. We

Christian Social Week
The aim of the initiative is for different christian-social environments to
meet, discuss vital social problems and phenomenons, participate in
social debate on the social and economic life in Poland.

I loved this project because it has given me the opportunity to meet other people, other cultures
and customs and to practice English. I am very happy with the results and I would love to see

During the exchange the most I liked all workshops, in particular drama. There was

I'm very glad that participants were active and creative, and they all did their tasks
as well as they could. I hope that we'll repeat that project:)

I honestly think that this exchange was really great! Everyone was very nice, and the program was
interesting. I will always remember as a good thing. The project based on the music was successful, despite the lack of equipment, we had Thomas and Guillermo for any professionalize.
I met some unic people. Finally, everything has been good for me.

This exchange has been the first for me, but it won’t be the last, I’m sure! I’ve met different people from

and having fun with music. I’m really glad with the results, because we created our excellent song,
and I enjoyed shooting every moment of the video, and the workshops. I’m waiting impatiently
the whole video, and I’ll always remember you and every moment we spent together.

It was not my first international project. But first with a role of being responsible only for
organizational and technical staff - not program (yeaah!!) In my point of view it went quite well participants were motivated and involved in subject and workshops. The biggest success were: final
result of the exchange - the song seems to be awesome and the fact we didn't have any confilcts
and crisisies during it. Good atmosphere, great people, nice schedule - everything worked together
perfectly. I hope to take part in more exchanges like this !

For me the exchange was a great adventure and I and spent a nice time there. I met
