Participants will be responsible for arranging their accommodation (directly with a hotel of their choice). 13th CONFERENCE ON FRACTURE MECHANICS Opole, 5÷7.IX.2011 The 13th Conference of Fracture Mechanics will be held in Opole, Poland. All the people interested in fracture mechanics, fatigue of materials and structures and problems of strength assessment of elements including cracks are welcome. Apart from scientific papers delivered by the participants, we provide some invited papers concerning fatigue and fracture mechanics. The papers submitted to the Conference will be reviewed and accepted by the Scientific Committee. The organizers provide presentation of the papers during traditional sessions and a special poster session. Since we expect participants from various countries, we are planning simultaneous sessions in Polish and English. All the accepted papers (presented during both kinds of sessions) will be published in a special volume edited by Opole University of Technology (abstracts), and on the CD attached to that volume (full versions). The best papers selected by the Scientific Committee will be recommended for publication in scientific journals of high impact factors. The Conference will take place at Opole University of Technology. Opole is located on the Odra river and it is one of the oldest Polish cities. It is the capital of the Opole province, its cultural, scientific and economic center. Main topics of the conference: Experimental methods in fracture mechanics Computational, analytical and numerical methods Multiscale modeling of fracture mechanics Influence of microstructure on fracture Fatigue fracture Composite fracture Influence of environment (temperature and aggressive media) on cracking course H. Dynamic problems in fracture mechanics I. Practical applications of fracture mechanics J. Other problems connected with fracture A. B. C. D. E. F.
