RELIGIOUS
Religious Education Registration 2016-2017
The parish Religious Education Office is registering
students
for the 2016-2017 season. Registration forms were
.
mailed to the parents of all the children who participated in the
program during the 2015-2016 season. Please fill out the forms
and return them to the office by August 15, 2016.
Registration forms for all new students are available
in the parish office.
First Day of Class
All Religious Education classes for grades one
through ten will begin on Saturday, September 10th.
Classes will take place from 9:00 to 10:15 AM.
Parent Meetings
Parents with children in grade nine [The Confirmation
Program] will meet with Father Anthony on August 27th from
9:00 to 10:15 AM in the school. At least one parent is to
attend this meeting with their child.
Parents with children in grades one through eight will
meet with Father Anthony on September 17th from 9:00 to
10:15 AM in the school. At least one parent is to attend
this meeting.
Teachers’ Meeting
A meeting for all teachers, teachers’ aides and
volunteers with the Religious Education Program will take
place on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 9:00 to Noon.
Please plan on attending.

XVIII NIEDZIELA ZWYKŁA
GŁUPIEC
Życie nie polega na gromadzeniu bogactwa. Wielu ludzi
ulega jednak przekonaniu, że jest odwrotnie. Życiowa
aktywność jest skoncentrowana na "mieć". Mieć spadek, pełne
spichlerze lub wysoko oprocentowane konto. Jeżeli nawet nie
jest to możliwe do osiągnięcia, to pozostaje przynajmniej w
sferze marzeń. W przypadku bogacza z Ewangelii był to stan
faktyczny. Zaczął on sam ze sobą rozmawiać, planując
przyszłość. Wewnętrzny dialog pokazuje, że był zamknięty na
Boga i drugiego człowieka, był zamknięty na miłość. Opływał
we wszystko, ale nie w to, co najważniejsze. Dlatego nabył
sobie jeszcze jedno - imię, które brzmi "Głupiec". Taki człowiek
zawsze pozostanie z pustymi rękoma, zwłaszcza jak stanie na
sądzie Bożym.
Jezu, Ty mi przypominasz, że prawdziwym skarbem jest miłość
Boża, którą objawiasz. Do gromadzenia takiego bogactwa
jestem wezwany. Nie pytam, co mam zrobić, bo już wiem.

PARISH PICNIC
We would like to let you know that our annual Parish
Picnic/Harvest Festival will be held at PNA Park, 171 N. Plains
Rd., Wallingford, CT., 06492 on Sunday, September 18, 2016
from 1 P.M. till 8 P.M. The event will include delicious PolishAmerican food, music by the Dennis Polisky Polka Band from 1-5
PM, and by a DJ from 5:30-8 PM. There will be a Parish Raffle at
the Picnic. The tickets are a bargain $2.00 each or $40.00 a book of
20 Raffle Tickets. The Picnic gives us the opportunity to raise funds
for the Parish.Have a great time, enjoying the Polish-American
music and Polish and American food throughout the afternoon. We
look forward to seeing you there! I ask each member of the parish
to support this parish event by buying the raffle tickets or selling
them to your relatives, friends or co-workers. Return whatever
tickets you don’t sell along with your check and the stubs of those
that are purchased.
For certain, the Parish Picnic is not only an
opportunity to enjoy ourselves with good food and games, but it
provides an opportunity to get to know each other better as well as
to strengthen our Parish Community. We cordially invite you to go!

PIKNIK PARAFIALNY
"LOURDES IN A DAY PILGRIMAGE"
On Saturday, September 10, 2016 the Order of Malta
will hold the third annual "Lourdes in a Day
Pilgrimage" at St. Tho mas Seminar y in Bloo mfield,
CT ( www.stseminar y.org/directions.html).
Known for their charism of defense of the Catholic
faith and service to the sick and the poor, the Order of
Malta conducts this one -day pilgrimage to allow those
unable to make the trip to Lourdes, France to
experience the joy, grace and healing promised by Our
Lady of Lourdes.
The day begins at 9:30 am with reconciliation; Mass
with Archbishop Leonard P. Blair at 10 a.m., lunch at
noon and workshops for the si ck and their caretakers
afterwards. The day will conclude at 4:30 p.m.

SECULAR FRANCISCAN ORDER CD SALE
St. Stanislaus Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order is
undertaking a project to assist the Wielechowski Family in our
parish. We are selling CDs for $20 apiece. These CDs feature
our own beloved Pastor, the Rev. Tadeusz Maciejewski, C.M.
singing such Polish songs as Czarna Madonna and Pozdrawiam
Ciebie Matko. Orders may be phoned in to Marysia Welborn,
the Parish Secretary at 203-562-2828 or 203-815-8955. We
shall also be selling them after all Masses on Sunday.
