ABOUT LOCATION
Bishops' castle in Lidzbark Warmiński is a fourteenth-century castle which is one of the most valuable Gothic buildings in
Poland. The castle was constructed from 1350 until 1401. It was built on a quadrilateral plan with the dimensions of
48.5x48.5m.
A high tower built over the north-east corner of the building is the highest point of the castle. Three turrets supported by
corbels are located in the remaining corners. The castle has cellars which functioned as food storage and prison. In the
courtyard there is Baroque statue of St. Catherine from 1756.
