During the conference there will be presented possibilities of business cooperation in the context of
Eastern Partnership. The representatives of European Parliament, Polish Government, Business
Supporting Institutions were invited to take part in the conference. The Marshal of WarmioskoMazurskie Voivodship will be the host of the conference.

During the Forum there will take place matchmaking session between foreign and Polish
entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs willing to participate in the session have to register in advance filling
application form and sending it back to the organizer in order to arrange business meetings. During
the session there will be provided assistance of interpreters.
During the matchmaking session will be present foreign business support institutions and
representatives of Trade and Foreign Investments Departments of Polish Embassies.

translated into English and Russian

About Warmia and Mazury Regional Development Agency
Warmia and Mazury Regional Development Agency Joint Stock Company in Olsztyn was
established in 1993 on the initiative of local governments of Olsztyn Voivodship of the time. WMRDA
operates for the development of Warmiosko-Mazurskie Voivodship and an increase in
competitiveness of its economy. It fosters relations between domestic and foreign entities for
business operation and stimulates the activities of institutions, social and local government
organizations and business entities.
The Agency’s mission is to operate for economic development of the entire region,
particularly through support for small and medium-sized enterprises. This aim is achieved through
varied activities connected with direct support for enterprises in form of subsidies, giving loans for
the expansion of business operations, consultancy in various forms and scope, organizing and
conducting training and information activity.
WMRDA carries out its own projects such as Regional System of Innovation Support and
Regional Business Centre in Olsztyn which have created significantly greater opportunities for active
support for entrepreneurship development in Warmiosko-Mazurskie Voivodship. The
implementation of the above-mentioned projects has allowed a launch of a number of regional
initiatives, including the Investor Assistance Centre and Import-Export Offers Exchange Point.
WMRDA pays close attention to innovation support in the region. The implementation of
Warmia and Mazury Innovation Barometer project in association with University of Warmia and

Mazury and the Gdansk Institute for Market Economics allowed determination of innovation
potential in Warmiosko-Mazurskie Voivodship compared to the entire country and Europe as well as
gaining recommendation for the regional innovation policy. On the other hand, the implementation
of Stimulation of Economy Innovativeness in Warmiosko-Mazurskie Voivodship through Support for
Cluster Development – pilot measures project has led to the creation of first clusters in WarmioskoMazurskie Voivodship. During the project entrepreneurs were familiarized with the idea of creating
clusters and benefits derived from the development of cluster cooperation.
WMRDA is a member of national and international organizations acting for regional
development and entrepreneurship. It is a member of the National Services Network – a network of
approximately 130 regional business support centres, which provide advisory, training, information,
financial and other services to small and medium-sized enterprises, and a member of the National
Innovation System.
WMRDA is an active participant in international projects aimed at enterprise development.
One of them is the Enterprise Europe Network – business support at the doorstep, carried out within
BISNEP consortium which, for example, offers assistance in developing the innovation potential and
capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises.
NEEBOR is another project in which WMRDA exploits its potential to produce solutions contributing
to an increase in competitiveness and innovativeness in the sector of small and medium-sized
enterprises in the Eastern Frontier Area of the EU.
Warmia and Mazury Regional Development Agency carries out its mission to support
entrepreneurship consistently and is a leader in this field in the region. Experience and knowledge of
the needs of the region and investors’ expectations, which are backed with constantly growing
qualifications of the Agency’s staff, allow the Agency to be an active participant in the economy life
of Warmiosko-Mazurskie Voivodship. Initiatives and measures taken by the Agency, their
effectiveness and efficiency as well as the Agency’s partners’ trust have resulted in the Agency
becoming an undisputed non-governmental leader in the process of formulating and implementing
the regional policy on entrepreneurship development in Warmiosko-Mazurskie Voivodship.
WMRDA’s activities targeted at enterprises:

counselling for technology transfer,
running regional cluster projects,
counselling for making international economic connections,
counselling for acquiring resources from the EU aid funds,
organisation of training, seminars and conferences,

assistance in designing development strategies for various local government levels,
making feasibility studies and applications for funding,

The Forum will be hold on Tuesday 4, October 2011 at the Hotel Krasicki in Lidzbark Warmioski,
Poland.
Participation in the Forum is free of charge.
During the conference there will be translation to English and Russian languages. The translation equipment
will be issued only under deposit of ID, passports or driving licence.
The Organizer provides accommodation in double rooms and full board in Lidzbark Warmioski.
Number of participants is limited. All qualified entrepreneurs will be informed through separate e-mail until the
23rd August 2011.
