We are honored to invite to the 4th Academic Conference
THEORY AND PRACTICE OF PREVENTION AND SUPPORTING
THE DEVELOPMENT OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
- TOWARDS TRADITIONS AND INNOVATIONS
April 20th to 21st 2015
First Announcement
We intend to continue considerations and discussions of the issues involving the theory and practice
of prevention and supporting the development of persons with a disability.
We propose the participants of the 4th meeting in Cracow would deliberate the origins and traditions
as well as new scientific/academic and cognitive, organizational, curriculum and methodological resolutions
in the area of preventive and supportive actions for persons with a disability respectfully to their life span.
The aim of moving back to the sources and routs has to make us more conscious what is the place of
tradition in the output of these academic areas which have created the current feature of theory and practice
of preventive and supportive actions for the development of persons with different kinds of a disability.
We intend to direct your attention towards fallowing topics:

Disability as an accompanying phenomenon in a life of a human being and a society;

Actions that support the development of persons with a disability;

The person’s with a disability environment and its resources.
We do hope that the above proposals will make you decide to take part in our conference and will
induce you to consider and discuss together with us any forgotten or disregarded thoughts, ideas and practice
related to the conference issues and will help to create new meanings for the work that has been done so far
or is aimed to be done for a better future of persons with a disability
The academic authority reviewed papers will be published in a monograph.
The Conference fee for an active participation (with a paper presentation) is: 420 PLN. It includes:

meals: dinners on the April 20th and the 21st 2015, coffee breaks,

participation in banquet,

publishing a participant’s paper in the monograph (after academic authority reviewing).
Non active participants’ fee is 280 PLN. It includes:

meals: dinners on the April 20th and the 21st 2015, coffee breaks,

participation in banquet.
