December 10th 2008 marked the celebration of the 15th anniversary of Elektrownie Szczytowo-Pompowe
S.A. at the Mariott Hotel in Warsaw.
Among the many guests present were Eugeniusz Grzeszczak, Secretary of State at the Chancellery of
the Prime Minister, Jan Bury, Secretary of State at the Ministry of State Treasury, Paweł Poncyliusz,
member of the lower chamber of the Polish parliament, and Mirosław Karapyta, Governor of the Province
of Rzeszów.

A comprehensive upgrade of hydroelectric unit 4 at Poland's largest hydroelectric power plant at the
Żarnowieckie Lake has entered its final stage. The comprehensive upgrade started in October 2007, after
25 years of the unit's uninterrupted operation.

On September 10th, the 18th Economic Forum was opened in Krynica. Polska Grupa Energetyczna was
one of the strategic sponsors of the Forum. Tomasz Zadroga, the Company's President, Paweł Urbański,
Vice-President, and Krzysztof Konaszewski, President of Elektrownie Szczytowo-Pompowe S.A.,
participated in a panel discussion entitled ”Energy mix and nuclear energy for Europe”. Waldemar Pawlak,
Deputy Prime Minister, also joined the discussion.

PGE Elektrownie Szczytowo – Pompowe S.A. – work has commenced to add new generation capacities
to the EW Kamieńsk Wind Farm. The extension project consists in constructing additional nine turbines,
with a total capacity of 18 MW.
