DOMAIN 1: Kłodawa salt diapir and its NE surroundings: main tectonic „engine” for Mesozoic geodynamic evolution of this part of the Mid‐Polish Trough 2. DOMAIN 2: SW surroundings of the Kłodawa salt diapir, including Ponętów – Wartkowice salt structures: the study area 1 JAKOŚCIOWE I ILOŚCIOWE ANALIZY TEKTONO-STRATYGRAFICZNE top M. Cret. top Triassic top Muschelkalk top Zechstein top Buntsandstein base Zechstein Domain (1): two main phases of the tectono‐stratigraphic evolution could be distinguished: phase 1: subsidence of the axial part of the Mid‐Polish Trough, related primarily to the basement faulting beneath the future Klodawa diapir (thick‐skinned tectonics), and also to salt withdrawal (Triassic – Jurassic – E. Cretaceous?) phase 2: L. Cretaceous – E. Tertiary inversion of the Mid‐Polish Trough, mostly related to inversion of the „Klodawa” fault (marked by red arrow). Inversion was followed be a widespread erosion that removed entire Cretaceous and large part of the Jurassic sedimentary cover on the NE side of the Klodawa diapir JAKOŚCIOWE I ILOŚCIOWE ANALIZY TEKTONO-STRATYGRAFICZNE Domain (2): two main phases of the tectono‐stratigraphic evolution could be distinguished: phase 1: Triassic – Jurassic growth of the Ponetow – Wartkowice salt structure – certain role of the „flip‐flop” salt tectonics resulting in localized thickness changes within the crestal part of this structure phase 2: L. Cretaceous – E. Tertiary compressional reactivation of the Ponetow – Wartkowice salt structure, documented by localised thinning of the U.
