NEWSLETTER March - April 2009 Dear EuroLang2012 supporters, In this issue of bulletin will be present to you our platform with its products. There are 5 main products: Language course, language guide, glossary, Poland & Ukraine cultural information and audio parts. THE LANGUAGE COURSE You can choose between Polish and Ukrainian course. In each of the courses there are 19 lessons which give you survival skills of language needed in everyday situations (such as: how to reserve a hotel, how to find a way to a stadium or just how to order a meal, etc.). Each lesson is divided into warm-up and action presented in funny animations. Lesson 12 – warm-up In each lesson you will find a context glossary with words related to this particular lesson as well as exercises and grammar. We are very proud that each of the lessons is translated into 25 languages (23 EU official languages accompanied with Ukrainian and Russian). Module 0 – section football – subject football kit. If you want to have some basic language in picture we recommend you to check lesson one which is called “Module 0” and contains words in pictures. This is based on full-immersion method and it’s fantastic for absolute beginners. Not only that you can see the word, you can also hear it. The pronunciation is recorded in a very slow way so you can repeat after the lector. Module 0 – section Time – subject hours www.EuroLang2012.com Disclaimer: This project has been funded with support from the European Commission. THE GLOSSARY This section contains 5000 words with picture and we should call it “Pictionary” as almost each word has a picture presenting its meaning. The words are divided into categories, so you can use our glossary also as thematic dictionary. Also, instead of only searching by categories you can also see in which lessons such word appears. GUIDE In this section you will find all necessary vocabulary which can be needed when you will visit both Poland and Ukraine. Each guide is bilingual which means that has either Polish or Ukrainian content translated into 24 other languages and the whole project is translated into 25 languages (23 official EU languages + Russian and Ukrainian). We are not only giving you just a written product, we have also created the audio files to each guide. Each file can be downloaded to your MP3 device (such as MP3player, mobile phone, PDA, etc). 1 Calendar Kalendarz Numbers Liczby Basic words and expressions Podstawowe słowa i zwroty 1 jeden 2 dwa 3 trzy 4 cztery 5 pięć 6 sześć 7 siedem 8 osiem 9 dziewięć 10 dziesięć Basic expression Podstawowe zwroty Questions Pytania Age Wiek who? – kto ?
