Niestety, do dziś wesela, raczej przypominają podziemie eschatologiczne niż zapowiedź wiekuistej radości. Wróćmy jeszcze do Kany galilejskiej. Jest to niezwykłe wesele. Z tłumu biesiadników autor wyróżnił trzy postacie: STAROSTĘ, JEZUSA oraz PANA MŁODEGO. Oprócz tych TRZECH, Jest mowa oczywiście o Maryi i o sługach i uczniach. Pan młody, Oblubieniec, to oczywiście Duch Święty i wreszcie Syn Boży, najmniej ukryty spośród trzech. This week's first reading tells us that God gives us, not only a new name, but also a new life. The second reading explains how each individual gift of the Holy Spirit is for the benefit of the community. Today's Gospel shows us that whatever Jesus touched was changed. He changed the water into wine, and he changed sinners into saints. The weddings in Jesus' day were celebrations that lasted for a full seven dads. Banquets were prepared for many guests, and the week was spent celebrating the new life of the married couple. Many times the whole village was invited, and because it was an insult to refuse an invitation, most people came. To run out of wine was an embarrassment and broke the strong unwritten laws of the hospitality of the area. Jesus was called upon by his mother to protect the honor of a good local family. Jesus was on a mission to save the world, and yet he took time to attend a wedding and take part in its festivities. Jesus knew that being part of people's lives was very much a part of his mission to Calvary. He valued these wedding festivities because they involved people, and he came to be with the people. Mary did not understand Jesus’ reply, but she trusted in him completely and knew he would do what was needed. Our call to ministry or our mission to bring God's word to others can often be accomplished in joyous times of celebration with others. We need to bring balance into our lives and we do that by bringing Jesus into times of pleasure as well as times of work. Today we who believe in Jesus, but run into situations we cannot understand, must continue to trust that he will work in the best way. This week, let your gifts of the Holy Spirit be manifested in the community. Pray with your family, school or work associates. Let your gifts uplift those around you. A gift of healing can be a simple hug or making someone a meal. A gift of teaching or preaching may be reading scripture to someone who can not read or it may be teaching a scripture class to the community. The gift of hospitality might be driving someone to church or to the store. The gifts are many, but they come from the one Spirit. The Holy Spirit resides your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19). PAUL FIRST HERMIT Pełna nazwa Zakonu Paulinów brzmi : Zakon Świętego Pawła Pierwszego Pustelnika Ordo Sancti Pauli Primi Eremitae –OSPPE, wzięta została od imienia św. Szczyt swego rozwoju Zakon paulinów osiągnął w XVI wieku, kiedy to w krajach Europy, a nawet w Palestynie i Egipcie w 8 prowincjach istniało 300 klasztorów. Klęska wojska węgierskiego pod Mohaczem w 1526 r. przyniosła wielkie spustoszenie Zakonu. Turcy zburzyli dziesiątki klasztorów, spłonęły archiwa i biblioteki, zakonnicy ponieśli męczeńską śmierć. Celem Zakonu Paulińskiego jest kontemplowanie Boga w samotności, kultywowanie modlitwy liturgicznej i realizowanie ducha pokuty, krzewienie kultu Bogarodzicy, działalność apostolska w służbie Kościoła i bliźnich, a więc głoszenie słowa Bożego, sprawowanie sakramentów a zwłaszcza sakramentu pokuty. 26 czerwca 2005 roku przypadła 50 rocznica posługi Ojców i Braci Paulinów w Amerykańskiej Częstochowie. On January 15th the Pauline Order honors a very special man of prayer whose name is St. Paul the First Hermit. The Pauline Fathers and Brothers are named after this holy man. St. Paul lived in the 2nd /3rd century in Upper Egypt. He was born into a wealthy and noble family. During the persecution of Christians, he fled into the desert. While in the desert he enjoyed the surrounding so much that he decided to spend the rest of his life in the secluded wilderness. According to tradition St. Paul spent nearly 100 years in the desert in prayer and contemplation of God. He lived in a cave. According to the tradition every day a raven used to bring him a loaf of bread. Next to this rocky grotto a brook of fresh water flowed by. It gave much refreshment. Before he died another holy man paid him a short visit. It was St. Anthony the Abbot the father of the desert and founder of the hermitical life in Egypt. Both holy men prayed together. It was their last meeting. After the departure of St. Anthony St. Paul died in the position of praying. When St. Paul died, the lions came and dug up the grave for his burial. The fame of this holy man of prayer spread rapidly throughout the region. The hermitical life became very popular among the first Christians. Their life style reached the Bałkan countries, especially Hungary and Croatia. This is the beginning of the Pauline Order. The first hermits in Hungary, encouraged by the local Bishop, decided to live a community life. It was the beginning of the Monastic life of the Pauline Fathers, the spiritual sons of St. Paul the First Hermit. In the 13th century the Hermits asked the Holy Sea in Rome for the approval of their rule and first constitutions. The approval was granted. The Pauline Order spread very quickly throughout Bałkan countries, Germany and reached even the Baltic countries. The Pauline Fathers arrived in Poland in 1382 to take care of the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Częstochowa that was brought to Poland at the same year by Prince Ladislaus of Opole. God in his Divine Providence has entrusted to them the care of the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Częstochowa and its Shrine in Poland. The Pauline Fathers arrived in this country in 1951. In 1955 the first chapel of Our Lady of Częstochowa was officially blessed and opened to the public. This year, on June 26, 2005 we celebrated the golden jubilee of the foundation of the shrine of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, known today as the "National Shrine of Our Lady of Często- Zapraszamy do sklepu z pamiątkami i księgarni tel.
