Brain Physics is a very young branch of clinical neuroscience, certainly not defined in any
encyclopedia. It summarizes physical interactions between volumes, flows and pressures in brain.
Measurement, data processing and analysis, forecasting and modeling of various cerebral phenomena
such as autoregulation of CBF or pressure-volume compensation of CSF are first-line priorities of Brain
Physics.
The aim of these lectures is to amalgamate remote fields such as physiology, medical signals
measurement, processing and modeling as well as selective applied aspects of neurosurgery, to illustrate
the main points of Brain Physics applications in clinical practice and in laboratory research.
The lectures are dedicated for persons studying Biomedical Engineering but also Medicine,
Physiology and other allied disciplines.
