Gliwicka Agencja Turystyczna S.A. conducts its activity in the field of tourism,
hotel and gastronomy trade. It owns a chain of holiday and recreational
facilities located all over the country. The Company offers: individual stays,
group stays, summer and winter holidays, camps, organisation of conferences
and training courses, integration events and feast events. It runs excellent
ski centres in Szczyrk and Korbielów.
The Company provides services in facilities of varied standard, from boarding
houses to three-star hotels and tourist class accommodations. Most of the
facilities offer catering services and have recreational bases (swimming
pools, tennis courts, playgrounds, saunas). In addition, they offer guided
tours and curative treatment. In order to make its offer available to a wider
range of customers, the Company cooperates with many travel agencies
and also plans to launch an online booking service. The main customers
of the Company are individuals from the śląskie and mazowieckie regions
and organisers of training courses. There is an increasing interest in the
Company’s services from the foreign customers.
The main assumption of the Company’s development strategy is to adjust
its sales and cost policy to the existing situation on the tourism market. Due
to the location of the existing facilities it is necessary to adopt a suitable
seasonal policy with respect to the services offered. In the summer season
the priority is to best utilize the seaside facilities while in the winter season
the mountain facilities are of the utmost importance.
Gliwicka Agencja Turystyczna S.A. cooperates with the Polish Chamber
of Tourism, Association of Tourist Facilities Managers as well as with local
governments and tourist base administrators in the regions.

PLANNED PRIVATISATION
The Treasury owns 100% of the shares of the Company. In 2009 it plans to
sell its entire stake by means of a public auction.
