Zadanie 2.
Podaj polskie brzmienie zaznaczonych tłustym drukiem wyrażeń.
1. With respect to matters not covered by the provisions of the Uniform Rules for the New York
Court of Claims (the Uniform Rules), the Court of Claims adheres to the rules set forth in the
Civil Practice Law and Rules (the CPLR). Ct. Cl. R. Section 206.1(c). Because the Uniform Rules

SYTUACJI
1. An employee who continually refuses to comply with the safety regulations has caused a
small fire. There has been only minor damage and no injuries among the staff.
2. You witness an employee verbally and physically threatening a colleague. He has never
behaved like this before.
3. An employee has told a friend (a journalist) about secret negotiations about strategic
movements of your company. Soon afterwards the story is published in an important
national newspaper.
4. An employee comes to work but his behaviour is not entirely normal. After talking to
him/her you have a distinct impression that the person is drunk.
5. You discover that information provided by a new employee on the CV in untrue. Her
experience is much smaller and she does not possess the qualifications she claimed she
has.
6. An employee is treating the work hours lightly – always comes a bit late, leaves some 10
minutes early, her lunch breaks are longer. It happens almost every day, and people are
complaining.
7. Thinking that no one is watching, an employee puts a packet of photocopier paper in
his/her bag to take home.
8. Employees are working on computers with a new system, which hangs up from time to
time. An employee, in frustration over this problem, hits the screen and damages it beyond
repair. A replacement means a cost of at least 1500 PLN.

A company is allowed to establish its own laws and regulations in certain areas. Choose one
of the following: SMOKING, LANGUAGE, DRESS CODE, BREAKS and draft up to 10 points
of internal policy regulating these issues. You write it from the point of view of an employer,
and there is a need to maintain certain formality of language, although without exaggeration.
