ABOUT LOCATION
Muzeum Zagłębia Staropolskiego (Museum of the Old-Polish Industrial District) is located in the village of Sielpia Wielka. The
institution has its seat in the former complex of a rolling mill and puddling plant which were established in the first half of the
19th c. The museum in Sielpia in currently a branch of the Museum of Technology and Industry in Warsaw. The collection is
exhibited in the old buildings which still contain the old rolling mill and foundry machines. Among the most valuable items
there are: the 8-metre water wheel designed by Filip de Girard and about 30 machines from the turn of the 18th and 19th
centuries.
