Farmakoterapia w Psychiatrii i Neurologii (Pharmacotherapy in Psychiatry and Neurology) jest kwartalnikiem
publikującym prace naukowe i edukacyjne z zakresu szeroko rozumianej neuropsychofarmakologii klinicznej
i eksperymentalnej. Czasopismo jest skierowane do wszystkich zainteresowanych informacjami i wynikami
badań naukowych w tym zakresie, tj. psychiatrów, neurologów, farmakologów, psychologów i przedstawicieli
innych pokrewnych specjalności. Czasopismo przyjmuje prace w języku polskim lub angielskim.
Przedmiotem szczególnego zainteresowania pisma są następujące zagadnienia:

Zasady etyki publikacyjnej w Farmakoterapii w Psychiatrii i Neurologii
1. Publikacja i autorstwo: Autorzy deklarują, że praca nie była dotychczas publikowana, z wyjątkiem streszczeń zjazdowych, i nie została skierowana do druku w innym czasopiśmie. Możliwe konfl ikty interesów
zarówno pierwszego autora, jak i wszystkich współautorów, fi nansowe lub inne, związane bezpośrednio
lub pośrednio z obecną pracą, jak również wszelkie granty lub inny rodzaj wsparcia fi nansowego lub materialnego zostały wyszczególnione w oświadczeniu na końcu pracy.
2. Obowiązki autorów: Autorzy oświadczają, że wszyscy wymienieni wnieśli istotny wkład w przygotowanie
pracy, a wszystkie dane w artykule są prawdziwe i autentyczne, a artykuł nie jest plagiatem. Autorzy są
zobowiązani do poddania się procesowi recenzji i zgodnie z nią dokonania odpowiednich poprawek lub
wycofania artykułu.

3. Dokonywanie recenzji i obowiązki recenzentów: Wszystkie prace oryginalne, poglądowe i kazuistyczne są
poddawane recenzji przez dwóch anonimowych recenzentów nie pochodzących z ośrodka autorów pracy.
Artykuły recenzowane winny być traktowane z poufnością. Ocena recenzenta winna być obiektywna, recenzenci nie powinni mieć konfliktu interesów dotyczącego pracy w odniesieniu do autorów oraz finansowania pracy. Recenzenci winni wskazać na istotne publikacje, które winny być zacytowane w recenzowanej
pracy. Lista recenzentów dla artykułów opublikowanych w danym roku jest publikowana w ostatnim numerze pisma z danego roku.
4. Obowiązki redaktorów: Redaktorzy dbają o zachowanie anonimowości recenzentów. Redaktorzy ponoszą
całkowitą odpowiedzialność za odrzucenie lub akceptację artykułu i są do tego upoważnieni. Redaktorzy
nie powinni mieć konfliktu interesów w odniesieniu do artykułów odrzuconych lub zaakceptowanych.
Redaktorzy akceptują artykuł tylko wtedy, gdy są pewni takiej decyzji, a gdy znajdują błędy, powodują publikację korekty lub wycofanie artykułu.
Prace należy przesyłać do redakcji drogą elektroniczną – za pośrednictwem panelu redakcyjnego, znajdującego się pod adresem: www.editorialsystem.com/fpn
Nazwiska autorów, ich afiliacje, tytuł pracy, streszczenie oraz słowa kluczowe wpisuje się w kolejne okna panelu. Tabele, ryciny i fotografie powinny być dołączone w odrębnych plikach. Należy także dołączyć oświadczenie
autorów, którego wzór dostępny jest w panelu redakcyjnym.
Wymagania dotyczące tekstu
Całkowita objętość pracy oryginalnej i poglądowej (włączając tabele, ryciny, piśmiennictwo i materiały uzupełniające) nie może przekraczać 5000 słów. Plik tekstowy przesłany za pośrednictwem panelu redakcyjnego powinien być przygotowany czcionką 12 pkt, z odstępami 1,5 i marginesami: 2,5 cm. Każda część pracy powinna
zaczynać się od nowej strony.
Strona tytułowa powinna zawierać tytuł w języku polskim i angielskim, listę imion i nazwisk wszystkich
autorów, nazwy instytucji, z których pochodzą autorzy, adres korespondencyjny, telefon, faks oraz e-mail
autora korespondującego.
Strona druga powinna zawierać streszczenie w języku polskim, o objętości 200-250 słów w przypadku prac
oryginalnych i poglądowych, a w przypadku prac kazuistycznych do 150 słów. Streszczenie pracy oryginalnej
powinno mieć budowę strukturalną, tj. zawierać: cel pracy, materiał i metody, wyniki oraz wnioski. Pod streszczeniem należy umieścić 3-6 słów kluczowych, zgodnych z Index Medicus.
Strona trzecia powinna zawierać streszczenie w języku angielskim, zorganizowane podobnie jak streszczenie
polskie. Pod streszczeniem należy umieścić 3-6 słów kluczowych w języku angielskim.
Strona czwarta i kolejne powinny zawierać tekst pracy. W pracach oryginalnych należy wyróżnić następujące
części: wstęp, metody, wyniki, omówienie i wnioski. W części metodycznej należy podać informacje o zgodzie
właściwej komisji bioetycznej na przeprowadzone badania i świadomej zgodzie osób badanych, jak również
dane na temat stosowanych testów statystycznych.
Praca winna spełniać wymogi Deklaracji z Helsinek (1975), międzynarodowego aktu etyki medycznej zakazującego używania nazwisk pacjentów, ich inicjałów oraz numerów dokumentacji szpitalnej.
W tekście pracy należy używać wyłącznie międzynarodowych nazw leków.
Skróty używane w tekście należy wyjaśnić przy pierwszym ich zastosowaniu (dotyczy to również abstraktu).
Na końcu pracy należy podać wszelkie informacje na temat źródeł finansowania (np. numery grantów).
Autorzy powinni ujawnić w tym miejscu wszelkie zależności finansowe i inne informacje, których nie umieszczenie mogłoby budzić podejrzenie konfliktu interesów.

Piśmiennictwo powinno być ułożone alfabetycznie i cytowane w systemie harwardzkim (nazwisko i rok).
W wypadku dwóch autorów należy podać oba nazwiska, zaś w przypadku trzech lub więcej autorów należy
podać nazwisko pierwszego autora, a następnie „i wsp.” oraz rok. W spisie piśmiennictwa należy cytować nazwiska pierwszych sześciu autorów. W wypadku więcej niż sześciu autorów należy po szóstym nazwisku dodać
„i wsp.”. W wypadku książek należy podać nazwiska wszystkich redaktorów. Należy używać skrótów nazw
czasopism według Index Medicus.

Tabele i ryciny powinny być ponumerowane numerami arabskimi, umieszczone na osobnych stronach
i przesłane jako drębne pliki. Ryciny można przesłać w następujących formatach: .cdr, .tif, .jpg, .ai, .bmp lub
.eps. Fotografie winny mieć rozdzielczość 300 dpi i winny być przesłane w formacie .tif lub .jpg. Należy zaznaczyć lokalizację tabel i rycin w odpowiednim miejscu tekstu.
Jeżeli rycina lub fotografia były uprzednio publikowane, należy podać źródło i pisemną zgodę na jej publikację od właściciela praw autorskich.

Instructions for Authors
Farmakoterapia w Psychiatrii i Neurologii (Pharmacotherapy in Psychiatry and Neurology) is a quarterly
journal that carries scientific and educational papers related in broad sense to the clinical and experimental
neuropsychopahrmacology. The journal is addressed to all those interested in the latest developments and research in this area, i.e. psychiatrists, neurologists, pharmacologists, psychologists, and representatives of other
related disciplines. The papers in Polish or English language may be submitted to the journal.
The journal is particularly focused on the following topics:
• Pharmacological treatment of psychiatric disorders
• Pharmacological treatment of neurologic disorders
• Studies on efficacy and tolerability of new psychotropic drugs and drugs used in neurological disorders
• Preclinical pharmacology of psychotropic drugs and drugs used in neurological disorders
• Child and adolescent neuropsychopharmacology
• Neuropsychopharmacology of the elderly
• Mechanism of action of psychotropic drugs
• The effect of pharmacological treatment on brain bioelectrical activity (pharmaco-EEG)
• The effect of pharmacological treatment on cognitive functions and psychosocial functioning
• Psychometric assessment of drug activity
• Adverse reactions of psychotropic drugs and drugs used in neurological disorders
• Pharmacogenetic aspects of neuropsychiatric disorders and their treatment

A publication ethics and malpractice statement
1. Publication and authorship: Authors declare that the submitted manuscript contains has not been
previously published other than in conference abstract books and has not been submitted to another
journal. All of the authors’ possible conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, if related directly or
indirectly to the submission, as well as all grants or other forms of financial support are acknowledged
in a declaration at the end of the paper.
2. Author’s responsibilities: A statement is made that all authors have significantly contributed to the
research and all data in article are real and authentic and there is no plagiarism. Authors are under an
obligation to participate in peer review process and to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes.
3. Peer review and responsibility for the reviewers: All original, review and casuistic papers are subject
to review by two anonymous reviewers from institutions other that that of the authors of publication.
Reviewed articles should be treated confidentially. Reviewer’s judgments should be objective, reviewers should have no conflict of interest with respect to the research, the authors and/or the research

funders. Reviewers should point out relevant published work which is not yet cited. The list of reviewers for the articles in given year is published in the last number of journal published in this year.
4. Editorial responsibilities: Editors preserve anonymity of reviewers. Editors have complete responsibility and authority to reject/accept an article. Editors should have no conflict of interest with respect
to articles they reject/accept. Editors only accept a paper when reasonably certain, and when errors
are found, they promote publication of correction or retraction.

A cover letter should accompany the manuscript, containing a declaration to the effect that:
1. The manuscript has not been previously published other than in conference abstract books;
2. The manuscript has not been submitted to another journal;
3. All of the authors’ possible conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, if related directly or indirectly
to the submission, as well as all grants or other forms of financial support are acknowledged in
a declaration at the end of the paper;
4. All authors have significantly contributed to the research,
5. All data in article are real and authentic, and there is no plagiarism.

Manuscript preparation
The manuscript should be printed single-sided on white A4 paper, with consecutive page numbering, margins
of 2.5 cm on both sides, double-spaced, using a 12 pt font. Each part of the paper should start on a new page.
The pages should be numbered.
Original and review papers should not exceed 5,000 words in length (including tables, figures, references and
appendices).
The title page should contain the title of the paper (in both Polish and English), the full names of the authors,
their affiliations, and the title and address of the corresponding author (including the telephone number, fax
number and e-mail address).
Page 2 should contain an abstract in Polish, 200–250 words in length for original and review papers, and 150
words in length for case studies. Abstracts of original papers should be structured as follows: aims; materials
and methods; results; and conclusions. Below the abstract, 3–6 keywords should be given as per Index Medicus.
Page 3 should contain an abstract in English, following the same structure as the Polish abstract. Below the
abstract, 3–6 English keywords should be given. Authors of papers written in English do not have to provide
the title and the abstract in Polish.
Page 4 and all the subsequent pages should contain the body text of the paper. Original papers should be
structured as follows: introduction; methods; results; discussion and conclusions. The methods section
should include a statement of approval by the relevant bioethics commission to undertake the study, and of
the subjects’ conscious consent, as well as information on the statistical methods used.
When publishing any work, the author(s) should bear in mind that it must comply with the requirements of
the Declaration of Helsinki (1975) – an international medical ethics act which stipulates that it is prohibited
to name the patients, give their initials or hospital record numbers.
Only international drug names should be used in the body text of the paper.

Abbreviations used in the text should also be explained at first mention (this also applies to the abstract).
All information on the financing sources (e.g. grant numbers) should be given at the end of the paper. All
authors should disclose any financial dependencies and any other information that, if omitted, might raise
suspicion of a conflict of interest.
References should be arranged alphabetically and cited using the Harvard system (author’s name and year
of publication). In the text, for papers with two authors, the citation in the body text should give both names,
while for papers with three or more authors, the name of the first author should be given, followed by “et al.”
and the year of publication. The references section should cite the names of the first six authors. For papers
with more than six authors, “i wsp. (et al.)” should be used after the sixth name. For books, all editors should
be given. Abbreviations of journal names should be used as per Index Medicus.

.tif or .jpg files. The locations of tables and figures should be marked in the body text.
If a figure (photograph) has been previously published, the source should be given, and written permission
to use it should be obtained from the copyright holder.
