Preface
The 8th International Conference NEET 2013 (New Electrical and Electronic Technologies and their Industrial
Implementation) took place on June 1821, 2013, in Zakopane (Poland). The chief organizers of the symposium were
the following: Department of Electrical Devices and High Voltage Technology at the Lublin University of Technology
and Society of Polish Electrical and Electronic Engineers Lublin Branch, and the co-organizing establishments:
Belarusian State University in Minsk (Belarus), Belarusian National Technical University in Minsk (Belarus), Belarusian State Pedagogical University in Minsk (Belarus), Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas (Lithuania), Sumy
State University (Ukraine) and University of Zilina (Slovak Republic).
Over 130 scientists and engineers of European and Asian scientic establishments participated in the symposium.
There were nine sessions and in that number seven plenary sessions and three poster ones. They included over
150 presentations of applicative and cognitive character pertaining to the areas of materials engineering and physics
as well as electrical engineering and electronics. The articles comprised in the present issue discuss results of the
research concerning physical properties of materials used in electrical engineering and electronics and methods for their
modication, physical processes involved in technologies for microelectronic applications such as ion and electrostatic
techniques together with their industrial and environment protection applications, theory and computer simulation of
physical properties of the modied materials with the application of optoelectronic techniques to monitor technological
processes related to the modication and production of the materials.
The organizers plan to organize the next 9th International Conference NEET 2015 (New Electrical and Electronic
Technologies and their Industrial Implementation ) on June 2015, in Zakopane (Poland).
