How to get to your hotel? Taxi The easiest and most recommended way to get to your hotel is by taxi. Taxi ranks are located in front of both terminals of the Frederic Chopin airport (also called Okęcie Airport) and at one side of the Central Station (Warszawa Centralna). The fare from the airport to the city centre, where your hotel is located, is about 50 PLN (12 euro) and should last between 20 to 30 minutes; and from the Central Station – about 20 PLN (5 euros) and some 10 minutes. Ignore the taxi-drivers soliciting you in the arrival halls – they will charge you much more. Just follow taxi signs. Taxi drivers usually speak rudimentary English. You can only pay in the Polish currency so make sure you exchange some money at the airport/station. Bus There are buses (and a train) going from the airport to the city centre. Warsaw features a very good public transportation site where you can find most suitable connections. Here is its link: http://warszawa.jakdojade.pl/?locale=en You can buy bus tickets at the newsagent’s, from ticket machines located at the bus stops or directly from the driver. The standard fare is 3,6 PLN(1 Euro). You have to validate your ticket (each ride a new one) in special machines inside the bus.
