Jan Antoni Rubin Wybrane parametry radiacyjne kompozytów żużlowych o matrycy cementowej modyfikowanej metakaolinem SELECTED RADIATION PARAMETERS OF SLAG COMPOSITES OF CEMENT MATRIX MODIFIED WITH METAKAOLIN Streszczenie Radon Rn-222 jest bezbarwnym i bezwonnym gazem szlachetnym. Abstract Rn-222 Radon is a colorless and odorless inert gas. Radon, present in the air surrounding us, is the part of atoms of this element, which managed to free themselves from the structures of minerals (eg cement-based composites). The transition of gas radon to the pore space is the first stage of its migration in the environment. This paper presents the results of studies involving the measurement of radon exhalation of composites formed from the ISP slag (waste from zinc steelworks) and Portland cement CEM I 32,5R and metakaolin – applied as a replacement of mentioned cement. It also presents the results of measurements of natural radioactivity and the porosity of these composites by mercury porosimetry. dr inż.
