IsoG 2013 Environmental geochemistry methods, trends, questions 13 - 15 March, 2013 Warsaw, Poland Dear Friends, The conference IsoG2013 is getting closer… The conference IsoG2013 will be organized in three thematic blocks: methods, applications and "difficult start – tips for young scientists". In every block, a set of highelevated talks given by invited key lecturers will be an introduction to poster sessions and panel discussion. Location and access Warsaw is a capital of Poland, located in the central part of country. Warsaw is easily accessible by plane or trains. Main airport (Fryderyk Chopin Airport) is located 10 km from the city centre. Direct train service to Main Railway Station is provided. Main train station is located in the city centre. Polish Visa Not required for citizens of almost all European countries, US and Canada. You may check the current visa regulations at the Office For Foreigner website. If you need a formal invitation please let us know as soon as possible. Conference Center of "New Horizons" Foundation is the place of IsoG2013 conference. Conference Center address: Centrum Konferencyjno-Szkoleniowe Ul. Bobrowiecka 9 00-728 Warszawa Location: The conference center is located in Warsaw district Mokotów, near main monuments of Warsaw (Royal Park “Łazienki”, the Wilanów Palace, Old Town). Bus connection with Central Railway Station is provided by bus no. 501 or 131 (to Unii Lubelskiej Square) then bus no. 107 or 119. If you need any assistance for travel from airport or train station to conference center please contact directly Jacek Pawlak ([email protected]). Official language English, no translation will be provided Program Generally the day will start with short presentation by moderator of the day. Series of invited lectures will follow this introduction. Lectures will be given by high level specialist and cover background and main problems of selected areas. The invited lectures will last up to 60 minutes (including discussions). Posters will be displayed throughout the meeting and presenting authors will be required to be present at their poster at the poster session time. General discussion panel will be the final point of the day. Tuesday, March 12: -arrival, registration (starting 5 p.m.) -“ice-break” cocktail (7-9 p.m.) Wednesday, March 13: “Methods” Moderator: H. Ewa Słaby (ING PAN, Poland; [email protected]) Lectures: Dr Andreas Stracke ( Westfälische Wilhelms Universität, Germany) Prof. Adam Walanus (AGH, Poland) - poster session (afternoon) - panel discussion Information for poster presentations The poster boards are big enough for A0 size poster in portrait mode. Mounting supplies for posters will be provided by the Organizing Committee. Social events All participant are invited for: Welcome cocktail (“Ice breaker”) The welcome cocktail is held on Tuesday, 12 March, 19:00 at the conference center Gala dinner The gala dinner is held on Wednesday, 13 March ; 19:00 at the conference center. ING PAN Laboratory excursions Optional visit in laboratories of Institute of Geological Sciences PAS may be organized (stable isotope laboratory, short-lived isotopes spectrometry, RTG).
