Piwowarska.
Kompania Piwowarska: a sports sponsor for years
For years, Kompania Piwowarska has been strongly related to Polish Olympic sport. Since 1996 and the Olympic
Games in Atlanta, KP has cooperated with the Polish Olympic Committee.
Marta Andreasik, brand promotion specialist for Kompania Piwowarska said:
“At that time, Kompania Piwowarska was for the first time the Chief Sponsor of the Polish Olympic team. In the
following years, during Games held in Nagano, Sydney, Athens and Salt Lake City, Polish athletes were proudly
supported by Tyskie, Poles’ favourite beer. The brand accompanied Polish Olympic sportspeople in Beijing,
Vancouver and at this year’s Summer Olympic Games in London. However, the company supports more than just
Olympic athletes.”
In the past, Kompania Piwowarska sponsored the national football team as well as numerous speedway and
football clubs all over the country. Right now Tyskie is a sponsor of Vive Targi Kielce handball team, KMŻ
speedway team from Lublin and PGE Marma Rzeszów to name a few.
“Lech brand has also been involved in the Polish sports movement. Since 1 July 2012, the regional sub-brand
Lech Pils brewed by people from Wielkopolska for other people in Wielkopolska has supported its home football
team: Lech Poznań. The contract has been signed for 3 years,” Andreasik added.
Equally worth remembering is Wojak brand which actively supports and promotes boxing in Poland. A case in
point is the Wojak Boxing Night which topped the contest of “Sponsors of Polish Sport”.
