Kompania Piwowarska: the chief partner of the European Economic
Congress 2012
On 14-16 May, the city of Katowice will host a forum of one of the most representative discussions
about the future of Europe. In attendance will be experts in politics, business and science.
Kompania Piwowarska is the chief partner of this year’s edition of the European Economic
Congress. Representatives of the leading Polish brewer will take part in debates on the most
significant issues of Europe’s economic and social growth.
The European Economic Congress (EEC) will be held on 14-16 May in eleven locations in Katowice. As part of the
Congress, over 100 sessions, discussion and accompanying events will be held and attended by approximately 6
thousand guests from Poland and abroad. Debate moderators will include famous Polish authors, journalists and
commentators. President of the Republic of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, will be the Congress’ Guest of Honour.
From globalism to corporate social responsibility
Experts from Kompania Piwowarska will attend four debates dedicated to the following issues: global economy
and global competition, innovations in the food industry, regulation policy and the free market, CSR
and responsible business. Robert Priday: president of board of Kompania Piwowarska, Radosław
Pawlak: director of marketing innovations and Paweł Kwiatkowski: director of Corporate Affairs will
discuss specific areas of company operations in the context of the above mentioned issues. This is the second
edition of the European Economic Congress attended by representatives of Kompania Piwowarska.

representatives will largely contribute to the debates held as part of the European Economic Congress where KP

About the Congress
The European Economic Congress in Katowice is among the most significant economic events in Central Europe.
Within three days, the Congress offers a series of meetings, debates and accompanying events attended by
experts in politics, economy and business as well as media representatives. The sessions revolve around the most
important issues related to Europe’s economic and social growth. The event is organized by PTWP SA; Jerzy
Buzek is President of the Congress Programme Council. This year’s fourth edition of the Congress was preceded
by a forum on “Business relations. Poland – Czech Republic” held on 29 March in Prague. Detailed information

President of board of Kompania Piwowarska since October 2011.
Robert Priday moved to KP and SABMiller Europe from Peru where he had been managing director
since 2006. It was in Poland where he started his international career in the Group back in 1997. He
was then in charge of integrating the Tychy brewery into the SABMiller structures with special
emphasis placed on sales, marketing and the supply chain. He left Poland in 1999 when he was
appointed managing director in Slovakia from which he moved to Honduras. There, for four years he
was managing director in the local SABMiller subsidiary from which he moved to Peru. He was also
responsible for the recently acquired company in Argentina and the emerging structures in Bolivia,
based upon exports.
Robert Priday devoted 30 years of his career to SABMiller Group in South Africa, Europe and Latin
America where he has operated in various areas including sales and marketing; he has also been
appointed managerial positions. His achievements as a managing director include strong market
positions of the subsidiaries in Honduras and Peru. Famous for their competitiveness and market
efficiency, these companies enjoy considerable profitability and leading market positions.
Robert Priday is married with two sons. He loves golf and he is an avid sports fan.

Director of marketing innovations for Kompania Piwowarska since 2010.
He manages a group of people handling New Product Development (NPD) projects with respect to
product and packaging innovations alike.
Before he joined KP he had worked for Wrigley, also as a marketing director for Wrigley GmbH
(Germany) and marketing director for the company’s Polish subsidiary. For 5 years he had been in
charge of NPD projects on a regional and global scale, managing teams responsible for specific
growth platforms in Munich, the company’s European hub.
Radosław Pawlak is a graduate of the Poznań School of Economics. He is passionate about jogging.
