16 t h Polish Teletraffic Symposium 2009
Łódź, Poland, September 24-25, 2009
http://pts2009.zsk.p.lodz.pl
In the nearly 16 years which have elapsed since the 1st Teletraffic Symposium computer and
telecommunication networks have undergone significant changes. In this time, the traditional
goals of low-loss, high-throughput transmission have been supplemented by the requirements of
security, reliability, low-delay and small-jitter, which are necessary for a variety of applications.
As network services become ubiquitous and (usually) indispensable both for end users and
business entities, the need arises for new technological solutions and improvements for the
existing teletraffic techniques. In particular, this concerns issues related to internetworking of
diverse types of networks (e.g. traditional IP with 3G and 4G systems), optimization of resource
allocation, network management and service billing, and enhancements to network performance
and security. PTS'2009 will provide an excellent opportunity for the academic and industrial
community to address new challenges, share ideas, and discuss future research directions in the
field of:
• Teletraffic Theory, Modeling and Optimization
• Performance Evaluation and Modeling of Communication Protocols
