International Baltic Mini Textile Triennial Gdynia (Poland)
Works from the collection of the Museum of the City of Gdynia to tour Australia through TAFTA
Pine Rivers Art Gallery, Brisbane will launch a touring exhibition of Miniature Textiles being provided by the Museum of the City of
Gdynia, Poland. The exhibition runs from July 11 – August 18, 2012 and the opening evening will be Friday, July 13th from 6pm.
This opportunity to view international works of art arose from a suggestion
put to TAFTA (The Australian Forum for Textile Arts Ltd) by Jolanta Szymczyk
who currently lives in Brisbane and has acted as liaison with Anna Śliwa
from the Art Department of the Muzeum Miasta Gdyni (Museum of the
City of Gdynia. TAFTA is sponsoring the project for Australian and on-going
exhibition dates for 2012/2013 will be confirmed via Textile Fibre Forum
magazine and website www.tafta.org.au
