As your parish priests of St. Mary of Czestochowa, we
share the angel’s good tidings of joy with all of our parishioners, the people of God. We ask you to join us as we chant to
the newly-born Savior, Christ the Lord, born in the city of
David, Bethlehem, the hymn of the angels: “Glory to God in
the highest, and on earth peace to men and women of good
will.”
We hope that all of you will be prepared for Christmas and
that your preparation will lead you to the celebration of Mass
and the reception of the Infant Savior in Holy Communion. We

SAVE THE DATE! An Alumni Mass at 8AM, a brunch, and a Career
Day Forum for graduates, former students and friends of St. Mary of
Czestochowa School will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2009.
The event will end before noon. Rev. James, Antiporek, pastor of
St. Irene’s Parish in Westmont, and a former graduate of St. Mary’s
will celebrate the Mass. Dr. John Klosak, a vascular surgeon, and
former graduate of our school will be honored at the brunch as the
“First Alumnus of the Year!” A special memory will be noted for the
many Sisters of St. Joseph, TOSF who were teachers at our school
for 101 years. Please send contact information of graduates and

2009 Church Collection Envelopes
As you learned in last week’s bulletin, the 2009 collection envelopes will be sent to you on a bi-monthly basis and by now you
should have received your envelopes for the months of January and
February 2009. If you have not received them, please notify the
parish secretary at 708-652-0948, ext. 20. You may be asked to
wait a few more days since they were not mailed “1st Class” but as
“non-profit” and this type of mailing does take a bit longer. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we undertake the new
system for providing you with your church collection envelopes.
Together with Overt Press, Inc. we will do everything in our power
to make this transition a smooth one and to “iron out” all “glitches”
that may occur.

This day we are called God’s holy people,
for God visits us in the person of the newborn king, Jesus our Messiah. Let us follow
the shepherds and in haste go to Bethlehem to see the sight announced by the
angels. There, in the manger, we find the
answers to all our questions. There in the
manger, we find the Gift that will outlast all gifts we receive this day.
There in the manger, we find the One who brings life even when
death seems to be all around us. There in the manger, we find the
Son of God, Jesus our Messiah.
Today God redeems us. Today is born our Savior, Christ the Lord.
The very Word of God comes alive in this holy place on this holy
day-Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, comes to make his dwelling
in our hearts.
At this time of gift-giving let us praise the One who gave us the
greatest Gift ever given to the world. Let us open our minds and
hearts to welcome the Messiah, Who came to save us from sin and
deliver us from the darkness of evil. In the person of the tiny Christ
child in the manger, the promise of salvation is made manifest. Let
us open mind and heart to welcome the newborn King!

the present list have been there for a long time. Names will be listed
on our parish “Sick List” for one month only in order to accommodate the names of other parishioners. Please call the bulletin room

Queridos Feligreses,
En aquel tiempo, el ángel Gabriel fue enviado por
Dios a una ciudad de Galilea, llamada Nazaret, a
una virgen desposada con un varón de la estirpe
de David, llamado José. La virgen se llamaba
María. Entró el ángel a donde ella estaba y le dijo: "Alégrate, llena de gracia, el Señor está contigo". Al oír estas palabras, ella se preocupó mucho y se preguntaba qué querría decir semejante
saludo. El ángel le dijo: "No temas, María, porque has hallado gracia ante Dios. "Vas a concebir y a dar a luz un hijo y le pondrás por nombre
Jesús. Él será grande y será llamado Hijo del Altísimo; el Señor Dios le dará el trono de David,
su padre, y él reinará sobre la casa de Jacob por
los siglos y su reinado no tendrá fin". María le
dijo entonces al ángel: "¿Cómo podrá ser esto,
puesto que yo permanezco virgen?" El ángel le
contestó: "El Espíritu Santo descenderá sobre ti
y el poder del Altísimo te cubrirá con su sombra.
Por eso, el Santo, que va a nacer de ti, será llamado Hijo de Dios. Ahí tienes a tu parienta Isabel, que a pesar de su vejez, ha concebido un
hijo y ya va en el sexto mes la que llamaban estéril, porque no hay nada imposible para Dios".
María contestó: "Yo soy la esclava del Señor;
cúmplase en mí lo que me has dicho". Y el ángel
se retiró de su presencia.

El anuncio del ángel del Señor a los
pastores de Belén otra vez resuena el
mundo mientras esperamos la celebración de la Navidad. La gloria del Señor
llena el campo de los pastores, y el júbilo de Dios llena toda la creación al
anuncio del ángel. Entonces alégrense:
“Hoy, en la ciudad de David, ha nacido
para ustedes un Salvador, que es el Mesías y el Señor.” (Lucas
2:11).
Como sacerdotes de su parroquia Sta. María de Czestochowa,
compartimos el anuncio jubiloso del ángel con todos nuestros
feligreses, el Pueblo de Dios. Les pedimos que nos acompañen a
cantarle al recién nacido Salvador, Cristo Señor, nacido en la
ciudad de David, Belén, el himno de los ángeles: “Gloria a Dios
en las alturas, y paz en la tierra a los hombres y mujeres de buena
voluntad.”
Esperamos que todos ustedes estarán preparados para la Navidad,
y que su preparación les dirija a la celebración de la Misa y la
recepción del recién nacido Salvador en la Santa Comunión. Esperamos que vengan a rezar junto con nosotros en nuestra iglesia
parroquial.
Extendemos nuestras bendiciones a Ustedes en este tiempo lleno
de júbilo en el nacimiento de nuestro Salvador. Que el recién

IV Niedziela Adwentu
W szóstym miesiącu posłał Bóg anioła Gabriela do
miasta w Galilei, zwanego Nazaret, do Dziewicy poślubionej mężowi, imieniem Józef, z rodu Dawida; a Dziewicy było na imię Maryja. Anioł wszedł do Niej i rzekł:
Bądź pozdrowiona, pełna łaski, Pan z Tobą,
<błogosławiona jesteś między niewiastami>. Ona zmieszała się na te słowa i rozważała, co miałoby znaczyć to
pozdrowienie. Lecz anioł rzekł do Niej: Nie bój się,
Maryjo, znalazłaś bowiem łaskę u Boga. Oto poczniesz
i porodzisz Syna, któremu nadasz imię Jezus. Będzie
On wielki i będzie nazwany Synem Najwyższego, a
Pan Bóg da Mu tron Jego praojca, Dawida. Będzie panował nad domem Jakuba na wieki, a Jego panowaniu
nie będzie końca. Na to Maryja rzekła do anioła: Jakże
się to stanie, skoro nie znam męża? Anioł Jej odpowiedział: Duch Święty zstąpi na Ciebie i moc Najwyższego
osłoni Cię. Dlatego też Święte, które się narodzi, będzie
nazwane Synem Bożym. A oto również krewna Twoja,
Elżbieta, poczęła w swej starości syna i jest już w szóstym miesiącu ta, która uchodzi za niepłodną. Dla Boga
bowiem nie ma nic niemożliwego. Na to rzekła Maryja:
Oto Ja służebnica Pańska, niech Mi się stanie według
twego słowa! Wtedy odszedł od Niej anioł.

Boże Narodzenie 2008
Drodzy parafianie,
Święta Bożego Narodzenia,
na które z radością oczekujemy, sprawią, że słowa anioła
Pańskiego skierowane do pasterzy w Betlejem rozbrzmiewać będą na nowo na całym
świecie. Boża chwała zaś wypełni pasterskie pola, a Boża
radość stanie się udziałem
całego stworzenie. Cieszmy się, zatem bo: „w mieścicie Dawida narodził się nam Zbawiciel, którym jest
Mesjasz, Pan” (Lk. 2,11)
Jako duszpasterze Parafii Matki Bożej Częstochowskiej, pragniemy się ucieszyć się z Wami tą radosną
Nowiną zwiastowaną przez anioła. Pragniemy wspólnie z Wami śpiewać Nowonarodzonemu Zbawicielowi ten anielski hymn: „Chwała na wysokości Bogu a
na ziemi pokój ludziom dobrej woli”.
Głęboko wierzymy, ze wykorzystacie zbliżający się
czas na przygotowanie się na świętowanie Bożego
Narodzenia i to przygotowanie znajdzie wyraz w
uczestnictwie we Mszy św. jak i szczerym przyjęciu
Chrystusa w komunii świętej. Oczekujemy Was z radością w naszej świątyni na wspólnej modlitwie.
Pragniemy błogosławić Wam z serca na ten radosny
czas narodzin naszego Zbawiciela. Niech Nowonarodzone Dziecię napełni twoje serca pociechą. Niech
Bóg Was błogosławi na Święta jak i na cały Nowy
Rok.
